MICRO HYDRO POWER PLANT

In natural conditions like today, we need a proper solution in reducing

environmental damage by comparing human activity on Earth. One of them by
looking at the potential of nature that is around us that can be used to support
human needs a day - day, without having to destroy and pollute the environment.
Departing from the concern for the environment and sustainable letari community
life as yet untouched by the country's electricity supply (PLN) which is one of
Hamlet in the Village Seloliman named Janjing. The condition runs until the end
of 1990, is due Hamlet Janjing less good geographical location and separated by
two major rivers namely river and river Kalimaron Janjing. Departing from the
existing non-governmental organizations such as PPLH Seloliman powering the
creation of a renewable energy producer of electric energy in the hamlet Janjing.
With the hydroelectric plants in the region Seloliman, it is expected there will be
continuity between humans and the natural environment.
In 1992 PPLH Seloliman invite MHPP - GTZ to measure the water resources in
the region Seloliman, is reserved about the planned construction of hydroelectric
plants as a tangible example of the group who learned to PPLH
Seloliman.Kerjasama is done by a multi-stakeholder among others PPLH
Seloliman , the German Embassy, MHPP - GTZ, Energy Independent Foundation,
the village government and community Seloliman Janjing Hamlet. MHP
Kalimaron began operations in 1994, with a capacity of 15 KVA energy produced.
This energy disuply to Hamlet Janjing and PPLH Seloliman. With the increasing
number of residents in the hamlet Janjing and development PPLH Seloliman from
year to year, the energy generated by the MHP Kali Maron deficient, so
dilakukanlah up grade turbine to increase power. Originally turbine used is the
type T 12 with a power output of 15 KVA then be upgraded with turbine type T 14
with an output power of 25-40 KVA with automatic water flow controller. The
turbine is officially in operation on December 24 2000 with the management of
community shaped named PKM (Society of Kali Maron).
