The e-portfolio allowed us to develop key skills and learning objects while learning about

a foreign or familiar topic. I was able to expand my knowledge on inquiry and what it means to

do thorough research.

To illustrate my e-portfolio I used the website-maker Weebly which allowed me to

express what I have learned about inquiry in an organized and creative manner. When I first

started the class UWRT04 I wanted to learn more about rhetorical analysis and what was inquiry.

By the end of the semester I have become more acquainted with both topics and hopefully will

be able to use them properly in another class. One thing that really helped me find and develop

my line of inquiry were the weekly blog post and studios. The blog post allowed me to analysis

different professionals work on a topic I was also studying. This gave me a perspective from all

sides and gave me the knowledge I needed to have a successful e-portfolio. The studios guided

me to the wright line of inquiry. Without the studios, finding a line of inquiry would have been

very difficult. Also they helped me find multiple voices that correlated with my line of inquiry

perfectly. Doing an e-portfolio is something that is very new to me, but because I had the

opportunity to do one my freshman year of college will make me prepared for the many more

portfolios to come.

Ive been working in a childcare facility for the two past summers. I am exposed daily to

children ranging from three months to twelve years old. Working there, I have seen various cases

of domestic violence and have witnessed the effect it has on the children. This is where my

interest in my line of inquiry started. Domestic violence is something that no one should ever

have to experience and child should never have to witness. This assignment gave me a clear

understanding of the negative effects domestic violence has on a child. I definitely am a firm

believer of doing research, especially on a topic that you are unsure about or have little

knowledge.

The first artifact I have on my e-portfolio is the Approaches to Inquiry assignment. This

shows my journey of developing my line of inquiry. Various questions were asked to help me

understand multiple point of views and voices. Under the creative tab I have the slam poetry and

word cloud. Both of these artifacts gave me the opportunity to express my line of inquiry in a

creative manner. The slam poetry gave me the chance to state facts in a rhythmic and interesting

way. The word cloud allowed me to high light words that domestic violence is and what it stands

for. Under the studios tab I included the slam poetry reviews that we watched on our own on you

tube. I included this artifact due to it gave me some ideas and motivation on my own slam poetry.

The slam poetrys that I watched were very inspiring and I recommend anyone to watch them.

The next studio was on viewpoints and voices. This studio was the most beneficial in my line of

inquiry. This gave me a clear understanding of my voices and how to successfully complete my

line of inquiry. The last artifact was about genres. We choose five different genres and answered

questions about their significance. I included this article due to I never thought of how significant

or non-significant some of the medias. This required me to use my critical thinking that I learned

earlier in the year and thats why I enjoyed doing it.
