Training Module 2
We will take you through the most basic thing that our team of surveyors does, the
process of correct data collection. Please note that we have emphasised upon being
correct as without unearthing the correct information about the cities that we cover,
all our efforts would go waste.

This module will help you understand how to fill the factsheets correctly! Go through
this module carefully and you will never fail when you get on the field. The aim of this
exercise is your learning so please do not hesitate to ask as many questions as you
want. We will test your aptitude so please give us the answers of the following
questions to the best of your abilities. Remember more mistakes here would mean
more clarity on the field!

Case 1) A building has 7 floors and each floor has 4 flats. Please state the
number of flats in the building
Ans: 7*4 = 28

Case 2) A building has 8 floors and each of its floor has


a) 2 2-BHK flat
b) 1 3-BHK flat
c) 1 4-BHK
d) 1 4.5-BHK
State the total number of flats under each category in the building
Ans: 8*5 = 40

Case 3) A layout has 5 buildings two having 6 floors, two having 5 floors and
one having 8 floors. Each floor in the layout holds the following configuration
a) 2 1-BHK flat
b) 1 2.5-BHK flat
c) 1 4-BHK flat
d) 1 5-BHK flat
State the total number of flats under each category within the layout
Ans: total no of flat : 1st building- 30, 2nd building- 30, 3rd building- 25, 4th
building-25,
5th building: 40
Case 4) A layout has 6 buildings, each having 19 storeys. Floor plan of the six
buildings is as following
a) 1st building has four flats on each floor: 2 each of 1-BHK and 2-BHK
b) 2nd building has four flats on each floor: 2 each of 2.5-BHK and 3-BHK
c) 3rd building has two flats on each floor: one each of 3-BHK and 4-BHK
d) 4th building has three flats on each floor: all being 4-BHK
e) 5th building has two flats on each floor: both being 5-BHK
f) 6th building has two flats on each floor: one each of 2.5-BHK and 5.5-
BHK

1.State the total number of flats under each flat type


Ans: Total no of flats under each flat type are:
1st building- 38 flats of 1bhk and 38 flats of 2bhk
2nd building- 38 flats of 2.5bhk and 38 flats of 3bhk,
3rd building- 19 flats of 3bhk and 19 flats of 4 bhk
4th building- 57 flats of 4bhk
5th building- 38 flats of 5bhk
6th building- 19 flats of 2.5bhk and 19 flats of 5.5bhk

2.In the same question if the builder says that he has availability as follows
-1BHK is available only on 1st 2nd and 17,19th floor.
-2 and 2.5 BHK are all sold.
-3 BHK is completely sold out in building 2 and is available on 1 st ,2nd and 17th
to 19th floor in building 3.
-4 BHKs are available throughout.
-5 BHKs is available on 5, 6, 7,17th to 19th floor.
-5.5 BHK is available.

What are the total no. Of units available in each category.

Case 5) A builder has constructed three 17 storey high-end buildings in an


upscale part of town. He reserved the 1st and 2nd floor in each of the buildings
as amenity space. The remaining floors have the product configuration as
following (flat types are called as products in our language)
a) The floor plan of each building shows two 3-BHK flat and one 2-BHK flat
Please state the total number of 3-BHKs and 2-BHKs
Ans: Total no of 3BHKs are 90 flat and 2BHKs are 45 flats

Its time to share another concept. As you all know conventional products consist of 1-
BHK, 2-BHK, 3-BHK, 2.5-BHK, 3.5-BHK etc etc. Moreover, we have unconventional
products such as duplex, triplex, penthouse, row house and bungalows in certain
projects.

Case 6) Four buildings each being 27 storey has come up in an area. 5 th and
6th floor and 11th and 12th floor have been converted into duplexes. Apart from
that in all the four building each floor has two 4-BHK flats.
State the total number of duplexes in the compound as well as number of 4-
BHKs
Ans.Total no of duplex are 16 and 4BHKs are 184

Case 7) Here is the details of floor plans of a single 15 storey building


a) 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors of this building have been amalgamated to form a
single triplex
b) 5th and 6th floors have been kept aside as amenity space
c) 8th floor is covered with a swimming pool.
d) Remaining floors have two flats each: one 3-BHK and one 4-BHK
State the total number of 3-BHKs and 4-BHKs in the building.
Ans.9 flats of 3BHKs and 9 flats of 4BHKs

Case 9) If the total cost of a project is 70 lacs and its average size is 1000sqft what is
the price of the project.

Case 10) If the all inclusive price of a 2BHK is Rs.50lacs and the rate of the project is
3000/sq ft what is the size of the product?

Ans. 1667
