1.Marcus Garvey was a lecturer for the Black Nationalism and Pan-Africanism
movements.

Garvey advanced a Pan-African philosophy which inspired a global mass movement,


known as Garveyism.

2.Marcus Garvey was born on August 17, 1887, in St. Ann's Bay, Jamaica.

4.He founded Pan Africanism, the idea that all Black people, everywhere , have a
common cultural heritage in Africa, and that they should redeem Africa by working
to end colonialism there.
