Description
Roff Tile Bonder is economical on-site mix additive to be mixed with cement, for fixing of tiles. Roff Tile Bonder
exhibits very high water retention and thus reduces the absorption of water in to porous substrates. It provides
workability, sufficient sag resistance as well as appropriate setting time. The adjustability is good even at low
dosages and high ambient temperatures. It makes cement self-cured.

Areas of Application
Roff Tile Bonder (RTB) & cement slurry is used for fixing tiles on conventional machan / Levelling bed
application. For fixing tiles on wall, Roff Tile Bonder is to be mixed with cement and / or sand and can be
applied by notch trowel.

Method of Application

Surface
}} he surface should be sound, clean, and free from dirt, oil or grease before application of conventional

cement machan or levelling bed.
}} Ideally levelling bed / Machan should be prepared using Cement : Sand : Water in the ratio of 1 : 6 : 1.

Joints Preparation
}} xpansion joints coinciding with joints in the substrate should be incorporated at the design stage with

spacing at 5 mtrs maximum and it is not to be covered with tiles.

METHOD OF APPLICATION (TYPE 1)

FOR FLOORING

A) With cement

}} Cement : 50 Kg (approx. Volume 35 Ltrs.)

}} Roff Tile Bonder : 1 Kg (approx. Volume 1.3 Ltrs.)
}} Water : 15 Ltrs.

a) T
 ake 10 ltrs of water in a clean and dry vessel. Slowly, mix 50 Kg Cement and 1 Kg of Roff Tile bonder
under stirring to obtain a uniform lump free consistency. A forced action mixer attached with paddle stirrer
for 2 - 3 minutes) is highly recommended. Finally, add 5 Ltrs. Of Water to get a soft and smooth pastes.
Water dosage can be decreased / increased depending upon cement and sand available at site to achieve
the desired consistency for application
 or hand-mixing, the total quanity of the mixture should be reduced to enough to ensure a soft and smooth,

lump-free paste.
b) Mix the quantity, which can be used within 30 minutes.

}} Sand (0.1 - 0.5 mm) : 25 Kg (approx. Volume 17 Ltrs.)

}} Intermittently touch the adhesive paste on substrate by finger if the adhesive sticks to fingers then continue
fixing and if not scrape off the adhesive and apply newly mixed adhesive.
