Materials Engineering and Nanotechnology Milano Leonardo Campus www.polinternational.polimi.it Presentation Subjects The Master of science programme aims at preparing specialists with - Mathematical methods for materials engineering strong technical skills for the innovation of processes and of applications - Advanced chemistry for materials engineering of new materials and nanotechnologies. One of the major focuses of the - Solid state physics MSc is on sustainable technologies and nanotechnologies for advanced - Mechanical behaviour and failure of metals applications. The city of Milan and its surroundings are fertile ground for - Mechanical behaviour and durability of polymers social and technical culture, with a variety of small enterprises open to - Corrosion engineering of metals and ceramics innovation and to new technologies and working in ADVANCED fields, - Composite materials for structural applications where non-traditional materials are key to future developments. The job - Surface engineering and technology market welcomes Material Engineers as professionals capable of handling - Advanced materials complex problems directly related to the production, to the treatment and - Nanomaterials for energy conversion to the applications of materials, acknowledging the high level of education - Plasmas for surface micro and nanostructuring obtained at Politecnico di Milano through original methodologies and new - Surface treatments for mechanical applications technologies. The programme is taught in English. - Micromechanics - Physics of nanostructures Eligible students - Thesis work
