Main Lesson Aims (Concepts, Procedures, & Processes):

Students will be able to see the pictures and say what senses related with it.
students will be able to :know new vocabulary ( loud, quite, high ,low)
Students will be able to: listen to some sounds(train , cow ,mouse, popcorn popping ) and
distinguish between differences of sounds (low, high, loud, quiet)
Students will be able to: select appropriate picture for appropriate sound.
Students will be able to: hear the sound of things and animals and they say what is it? And an
adjective to describe it.

Students Prior Knowledge:

Students know some of sounds of animal and things but they dont know their adjectives.

Possible Problems and Misconceptions:

- Some students might not bring their pencils.

- The data show or computer doesnt work.

- The time of activity not enough for students.

Solutions:

- I will bring some extra pencils.

- I will display vocabulary on flashcards.

- I will give students extra time.


Lesson Schedule

Targeted teacher language: good afternoon girls, how are you. What is today? What is today's date?

Student language: good afternoon Ms. Fatima I am fine thank you. How are you? Can you help? I done

Engage (warm up, review prior knowledge): time:

After the greeting, I will ask the students about the day and the date, and then I will

write the objectives.

I will display to them flash card have pictures (flower , ice cream, cat, bird ,perfume) 5 min

I will display them a flashcard and ask students to point to the body part they
associate with it, one example: if I show a flower, students will point to their nose
and eyes.
I will repeat step with other flashcards.
Core (introduce and practice new concepts & procedures):

I will tell students that they are going to listen some sounds and they have to focus

on sounds to identify the difference between each sound.

I will Play the audio track (the first is sound of train, the second is sound of popcorn

popping, the third is sound of cow and the last is sound of mouse.) and I will pause

after each sound to elicit from students: loud or quiet for the first and second sounds,

and low or high for the third and fourth Sounds.

After got answer from students (I expect get answer in Arabic ) , I will explain the

meaning in English for each sound while I will display flash cards for sound ( loud,

quite, high ,low) and asked repeat it 3 times . 33 min

I will put flash cards on white board after repeat it one by one.

I will do activity 1 in activity book page 98.

I will ask from students to open their activity book page 98 and I will read with them

question (how does it sound?)

I will tell them read the sound and then look at the two pictures and select the

appropriate picture for the sound.

I will tell them to do activity into pairs.

I will tell them I will put timer 4 minutes on white board, when you hear the buzzer

you have to stop it and leave pencil.

I will Walk around and assist students as needed by making the sounds if they dont

know them.

After heard buzzer, I will check the answers as a whole class by calling on

individual students.

Close (wrap up, discussion, brief review activity or assessment):

I will tell them Im going to play the audio (sound of horse, duck, car, train,

phone ringing and sheep) and they have put their hands up when they know the

sound.

I will tell them the first student put her hand up and say the correct word and

an adjective to describe it, she will get a pencil.

Reflection: 1-march-2017

I think the warm up was good. I liked it. The students were able to identify the sense.
I did new vocabulary activity in new way. Its good to identify the meaning new vocabulary
by hear their sound. I liked every activity I did .
