he Duke of Cambridge
has been reunited with
his wife Kate after
his raucous skiing trip to
Switzerland. The royal couple
honoured soldiers in London
on St Patricks Day before
travelling to Paris on an official
visit, which included a black tie
dinner at the British Embassy.
It was a poignant visit for William, as 2017
marks 20 years since his mother, Diana,
Princess of Wales, tragically died in a car crash
in the city. happily, he had Kate there to support

Crosby and Stephen Bear for their first

The pair only went public with their fledgling

diplomatic visit to Paris last
week, arriving by private jet fresh from
their engagement in Londons

William and Kate headed straight
out to see the French president,
Franois Hollande, who theyve met on
several previous occasions. They spent
25 minutes chatting to the politician
at the Elyse Palace, his official Paris
residence. Kate was wearing the same
dark green Catherine Walker coat that
she wore to the St Patricks Day parade,
with her long hair hanging loose rather
than up in the low chignon which she
sported earlier in the day.

change of outfits for the couple
before they headed to the British
Embassy, where
they attended a gala
reception hosted
by Her Majesty the
Queens ambassador
to France, Edward
Llewellyn, Baron
Llewellyn of Steep.
The event marked the
launch of an initiative
called Les Voisins,
which translates as

William had changed into a lighter blue

During the reception, they met young
French stars from the worlds of art,
sport, fashion and business, along with
workers in the voluntary sectors and
young military award winners.
Opening his speech at the reception
in French, William soon switched back
to his mother tongue, telling guests:
Forgive me if I now continue in the

so as to reduce the

memories of visiting the country, saying: Before I
came here, Her Majesty the Queen reminded me
of how much she has enjoyed her many visits to
France. It is a feeling that Catherine and I entirely
share, and look forward to this and many more
visits in the years to come to France our ally, our
friend, our neighbour.
The following day, at the time of going to press,
Kate and William were due to tour Les Invalides,
a Paris landmark built as a home for retired war
veterans. There, the royal couple were expected
to meet veterans of World War Two and there
were also plans to introduce the pair to survivors
of the Bataclan and Nice terrorist attacks.
A visit to the Muse dOrsay was also on the
cards, which was due to see Kate and William
visiting the impressionist gallery to hear about
the works of art on display. Another engagement
was a meet and greet with local school children
and students from the British Councils Somme
project, which aims to remember those lost during
the Battle of the Somme during World War One.
Finally, the duke and duchess were looking
forward to attending the Wales vs France Six
Nations rugby match at the Stade du France.

veryone deserves a holiday, but
when youre a future king, its hard
to slip away for a lads weekend
unnoticed! Before preparing for
his Paris trip with his wife, HRH the Duke
of Cambridge came under fire for nipping
off on a skiing trip while his fellow royals
were attending the Commonwealth Day
observance service back in the UK.
Raising eyebrows on his getaway,
Prince William who spent a long
weekend in Verbier, Switzerland with
three close friends was spotted dad
dancing in Farinet nightclub just hours
before missing the service at Londons
Westminster Abbey. Accused of shirking
his royal duties, he has also been
criticised for knocking back lunchtime
drinks on the slopes and hanging out with
Australian bikini model Sophie Taylor, 24.
While William, 34, was enjoying the
aprs-ski, his wife Kate, 35, was back
home with their two children Prince
George, three, and Princess Charlotte,
who turns two in May.
However, the break offered the prince
a keen skier the ideal opportunity

The four
friends were
spotted chatting
on a ski lift at the
upmarket resort,
with William easily identifiable in a bright
blue and black ski jacket. They were also
snapped tucking into a boozy lunch at
James Blunts mountainside restaurant
La Vache alongside Sophie, who has
posed topless on numerous occasions
and is currently working in hospitality in
Verbier for the winter season. The pretty
blondes friend Rosie Peate, 30, from
Blackpool joined the exclusive group.
Rosie, a trained beautician, is believed
to be engaged to Aly Bootle, who runs a
restaurant in Ibiza called Relish.
William certainly appeared to be
enjoying the girls company and at one
point he high-fived a delighted Sophie
as they chatted at their table, which was
covered in empty glasses. An onlooker
remarked: William seemed to be getting
on very well with Sophie and they were
giggling and laughing.
But despite the pairs friendly
behaviour, Sophies mother Joni Taylor
has stated: She is such a girl of integrity.
There is no way she would put [William]
in an awkward position.

boyfriend Aaron Goodfellow was with
her throughout the weekend and he

Later William and his pals met up
with their blonde companions at another
bar where the drinking continued. That
evening, before sampling the night life,
the ski party enjoyed dinner at the Le
Mouton Noir restaurant, having dined the
previous night at posh eatery La Channe.
But it was video footage shot during
the early hours inside Farinet nightclub,
where Sophie works, which has caused
shockwaves. In the clip, which was
posted online, William can be seen
throwing some impressive shapes to I

hen we meet up with Charlotte
Crosby and Stephen Bear at our
shoot in London, its clear that
they are very much in love.
While theyve spent months refusing to
confirm their blossoming romance, they now
act like affectionate teenagers, constantly
hugging, holding hands and kissing.
When Charlotte, 26, feels insecure in front
of the camera, Bear, 27, bursts into a rousing
rendition of Pretty Woman to reassure
her. And at one point, he even gives her a
piggyback, charging around with the former
Geordie Shore star on his back as she shouts:

Theres something sweet and

public with your romance?
Charlotte: Im very relieved, but we

years ago and we planned to meet
up in the same club in London. She
was there with a few of the girls

we had a few drinks and I thought,
Im going to try to go to second or
third base.
Charlotte: And I was like, no! And
he was like, for Gods sake, what the
hell am I waiting for? He was so angry
about it! That was about ten days in.
What did you initially fancy about
each other?
Bear: I liked her aura. She was very
loud, chatty and made me feel very
comfortable. Shes very clever and
hard-working.
Charlotte: I liked the way Bear was
cheeky. And I liked his eyes and eye
lashes he has very long lashes. Hes
very tanned and has a good body.
When did you first see his body?
Charlotte: In the dressing room when
we would get changed together. But Id

Bear: As soon as you put a label on
something, thats when it goes pear-
shaped because people get involved.
I wanted to see how it panned out
without rushing anything. But I wasnt
getting with anyone else.
Charlotte: When we were filming, he
wasnt. But then we both knew he was
going on Celebs Go Dating so thats
why we didnt get too close. It was all
harmless flirting, we had a bit of a kiss.
Why did you decide to go to
Barcelona?
Charlotte: When Bear got sacked
from Celebs Go Dating, I celebrated
with a glass of prosecco! Then I
started feeling a little bit guilty. I was
on a shoot and the whole way back in
the car I was thinking, its all my fault.
Bear: I said, Babe, its not your fault.
Whatever happens, happens lets
just go away somewhere.
Charlotte: So the day he got sacked
[February 7] was the day we became
official. Then we went away and it
was like a celebration of our new
relationship.
Who said I love you first?
Charlotte: Wed both say, I love
you jokingly for a long time and then
gradually we started saying it seriously.
But he really opened up to me in
Barcelona and thats when I knew I
loved him with all my heart. He gave
us this little speech and he went quiet,
almost like he was embarrassed. He
was very vulnerable in that moment
and it felt so real.
Bear: It was some really nice words
about how Ive grown as a person since
Ive been with Charlotte. I didnt think
you could possibly meet someone and
be that happy.
Do you often stay together at
Charlottes house in Sunderland?
Bear: Charlottes always working in
London so we stay at mine.
Charlotte: We do go up to mine on
weekends and go in the pool.
Charlotte, do you ever feel lonely if
youre there on your own?
So lonely. Its so crap. In the summer
it will be better, though I can have
big barbecues!
Are you going to move into your own
place together?
Bear: Yes. Weve said well rent
together for six months from August.

look at a girl that way anymore because I think

Charlotte: I want to spend the rest of my life
with Bear. I would like him to be the father of

Charlotte: Id like us to go travelling around

Bears dated a lot of people. To be honest, I had

Charlotte: No, its not something that wed speak
about. From what Ive seen, Vickys in a very loving
relationship [with John Noble] and she looks like

No, because Ive never cheated before. When I was
with Lillie [Lexie Gregg], I tried to break up, but then
I couldnt. But the relationship was done. Ive never

Harrison end?
Me and Ash were never in a serious relationship.

Charlotte: Yeah, when it first started. It was fading
by then and I think he was trying to hold onto us.

How does Bear compare to your exes?
Charlotte: If I use Gary [Beadle] as an example,
theres no comparison. With Gary, I never felt like I
could be myself. With Bear, I could sit there wearing
no make-up or hair extensions and fart. Id be
scared to do that in front of Gary and thats no way

When you started dating Bear, did he ever

house full of boys, staying in shape and the rumours that
her husband wayne is leaving manchester united

hes the wife of the England football
captain and Manchester Uniteds
highest ever goalscorer, so Coleen
Rooney knows a thing or two about
football. Which makes her the perfect choice to
promote the upcoming Football Mum Of The
Year competition. Coleen, 30, met Wayne, 31,
when she was 12 at school in the Liverpool
suburb of Croxteth. The childhood sweethearts
went on to marry in 2008 in a ceremony
exclusively covered by OK! and now have three
sons, Kai, seven, Klay, three, and Kit, who turned
one in January.
After so many years together, Coleen says
the key to her happy marriage is simply that she
and Wayne enjoy each others company. And
while hes not one for big romantic gestures, he
organises their weekly date night. Whether its
going to the cinema or a restaurant or a concert
we stick to that so we have time to talk to one
another, bubbly Coleen explains.
Before heading home to put her boys to
bed on the day of our interview, Coleen opens
up to OK! about Kit taking his first steps, why
Wayne doesnt mind if none of his sons become
footballers and being broody for a baby girl
Can you believe your youngest Kit recently
turned one?
Yes, its been the quickest year I have ever
known! Kit has just started taking his first few
steps, too, its so exciting. The more children
Ive had, the quicker the years have gone. I think
its because Im just so busy now. Kit is another
lively little boy!
Do his big brothers help to take care of him?
I wouldnt say they help out, but they are quite
protective. Sometimes they make matters
worse more than anything, but they do
absolutely love him. When he took his first few

attention! I think theyre going to grow up to
be very close.
Do you think more children are in your future?
Not at the minute, Ive got no time. I do love
newborn babies, but Im not thinking about that
at the moment. Maybe in the future, but I have
my hands full at the minute.
Would you like a little girl?
Yes, it would be nice to have a girl in the family,
but Im not desperate. Im used to being
surrounded by boys now! It would be nice to
have a girl because Im the only one in the family.
But you get what youre given.
Youre looking in great shape at the moment
Since I became a mum Ive loved going to the
gym. Before that it always seemed like an effort
to go and do a workout, but now I cherish the
peace and the me time. I try to go four times
a week and do a session of Pilates as well. It
makes me feel better and means I have more
energy, and with three boys you need as much
energy as possible!
Did you feel pressure to get back into shape
after having the boys?
After each pregnancy, I found losing those last
few pounds harder Id say after having Kai, I
never quite got back to what I was. And then
after Klay I gained another few pounds. But now
Im finally back to where I want to be, which is
great. Its so hard for women to keep up with
fitness and running after children, though.
Is Wayne romantic?
No, not so much, neither of us is really romantic!
He used to be when we were younger, when
we had more time on our hands. Hes loving
but I wouldnt say romantic. But I dont know
whether Id want a really romantic husband. We
enjoy each others company and weve lasted
together, which is good.
Do you have date nights?
We try and have one night a week without
the kids, whether its going to the cinema or a
restaurant or a concert, and just spend that time
together. We stick to that so we have time to talk
to one another.
There are always rumours that Wayne is
going to leave Manchester United
Hes still under contract at Man United and hes
happy there. But its one of those things; you never
know whats going to happen. Weve got friends
in football who thought they were going to stay at
their club forever and all of a sudden theyre gone.
And then weve got other friends who think theyre
going to be leaving and then they stay. In football
you dont know whats around the corner.
Are the boys into football?
Our eldest, Kai, plays for a couple of local teams
and Klay can kick but hes not interested in it at
the moment.
Would Wayne love the boys to follow in
his footsteps?
Wayne is just like any other dad; he really enjoys
watching and supporting Kai. He doesnt take it
all too seriously, he wants the boys to love playing
and not worry about the future because that
would be the quickest way to put them off playing.

W
hen Cara De La Hoyde and
Nathan Massey met last year
at the Love Island villa on the
set of the ITV2 show, it was
love at first sight. I liked him straight away.
He was so different to all the other guys on
the show who were tall and muscly and
really sure of themselves, Cara, 26, tells
OK!. I knew that if we didnt work out
romantically then Id have a friend for life
in Nathan.
Nathan, 25, agrees: We just got on so
well and had such a laugh with each other.
I think the public could see that we were
a real couple and could relate to us. That
certainly seemed to be the case, as Cara
and Nathan went on to win the show and
the 50,000 prize money with 54 per
cent of the vote.
Of course, reality TV romance is a fickle
business and most couples who meet in
the highly pressurised environment of a
show soon go their separate ways once
the cameras stop rolling. However, Cara
and Nathan have proved the doubters
wrong and, almost a year later, are
stronger than ever. They now have a small
French bulldog called Sonny (Hes our
practice for a baby laughs Cara), plan to
buy a family home together soon and want
to get married one day.
Arriving at the apartment in Chigwell,
Essex, where the couple currently live
together, its immediately obvious to the
OK! team just how real the couple are.
Playfully bickering throughout the day, its
nonetheless clear they adore one another
and are perfectly suited.
Over mugs of tea, Cara and Nathan
open up to OK! about wedding plans, who

Were you worried after the intensity of
Love Island that your relationship might
not work in real life?
Cara: I think I was, more than Nathan,
because Im quite a homely person,
whereas Nathan was a bit of a party boy.
I thought Id be at home all the time and
hed be out partying.
Nathan: I had faith wed be fine. I knew
that we had such a good relationship; I
knew she was the one. Its hard for boys
when they come out of a show like Love
Island because girls do throw themselves
at you, but I didnt want that. I want a girl
to like me for who I am, which Cara did. I
never looked elsewhere when I came out
and I never need to again.
How soon after the end of the show did
you move in together?
Cara: We came off the show in July and by
August we were in our place.
Nathan: Wed already been living with
each other 24 hours a day for six weeks on
the show, so we knew we could manage
it! Then we lived at my mums for a bit so it
just made sense to get our own place.
Cara: Weve rented first to test the water, but
now we feel ready to buy something together.
Did people think you were rushing into
things at the start?
Cara: People still say it now, but until youve
been in that situation you dont understand.
And I think every relationship in the public
eye is sort of on fast-forward. We cant
believe weve been together almost a year.
How are you planning to celebrate your
upcoming first anniversary?
Nathan: May 29, isnt it? I feel under
pressure already! Im not a massively
romantic person but sometimes I can pull
it out of the bag.
Cara: He is romantic! He took me to see
Aladdin for Valentines Day and got me a
trip to Iceland for Christmas.
Nathan: I like to go to places rather
than buy presents. I would rather
have memories.
Has the year gone quickly?
Nathan: Way too quick.
Cara: But I cant imagine not
being where we are now. I
cant imagine what my life
would be like without Nathan.
Do you feel pressure to move
your relationship forward
more quickly because of the

arlier this year, former westlife singer
brian mcfadden surprised fans by going
public with his new love, pe teacher
danielle parkinson. the announcement
signalled the end of brians run of very public
relationships with fellow celebrities.
after finding fame as a teenager with the
hugely popular boy band, brian was married to
atomic Kittens Kerry Katona, with whom he
shares daughters molly, 15, and lilly-sue, 14. he
then dated The Voice Australia judge delta
Goodrem for seven years breaking off their
engagement in 2011 before marrying his
second wife, tV presenter Vogue williams.
their marriage came to an end after three
years in 2015, and they famously remained
close friends for some time afterwards.
but these days, 36-year-old brian is content
to date out of the public eye with manchester-
based danielle, 35, who he met through mutual
friends late last year. OK! popped in for a chat
with the couple near their home in rochdale,
lancashire, to find out how they fell for each
other, and their plans for the future

Hi Brian and Danielle. Youve just come back
from your first holiday together in Barbados.
How was it?
Brian: fantastic. when you look out in the
morning and see that green ocean and white
sand, its just beautiful.
Danielle: it was brilliant, very relaxed. it was
perfect for us as we were with his girls.
How did you all get on?
Brian: it was great. theyre teenagers now, so it
was nice having a more adult holiday. they want
to do things like shopping or sunbathing.
Brian, had you gone on holiday with Danielle
and your daughters before?
no, it was our first time. theyve obviously met
each other and get on like a house on fire, which
is good! my kids are very well-mannered and
they get on with pretty much everyone.
Danielle: Yeah, it was lovely. wed been on
the phone to each other
briefly, then met properly
over christmas in ireland.
so going away together,
just us four, was really nice.
Did you really get to
know the girls, Danielle?
Yeah. wed leave brian in
the villa watching football
and wed go down to the
beach. we took the mickey
out of him quite a bit!

weve created a whatsapp group, so we
really bonded.
Were you nervous about meeting them?
Danielle: no, because it was so gradual and
natural. theyre at an age where theyre really
mature and independent, so you can have good
conversations with them both. its easy.
Brian, how did you and Danielle meet?
we met through a mutual friend, [entertainer]
cole page. wed known each other for years he
was on the recent boyzlife tour with me, and his
girlfriend and danielle are best friends.
So did you meet on a night out?
Brian: no, they set us up! we met at his charity
golf day in manchester. i performed at the do,
then we met that evening.
Danielle: the night before, my friend sara
facetimed me and i answered thinking it was
her. im in my dressing gown, with no make-up,
and brian was on the phone! i tried to act normal
and we spoke for a bit, then the night after, he
came up to me on the dancefloor.
What did you do for your first date?
Brian: we went to london to see Ghost: The
Musical with sarah harding in it. then danielle
and i went to dinner and then to a nightclub.
Thats a really long date!
Brian: it was a whole weekend! i was singing
at another charity thing in manchester the next
day, so the next morning we travelled back and
went out that night as well. we knew we were
going to get on.
A lot has been made out of the fact Danielle is
a teacher. How do you feel about that, Brian?
to be honest with you, i didnt really consider it.
when i met danielle, i liked her and didnt think
about anything else. i thought it was cool.
Is it a relief Danielle isnt in the limelight?
it never even crossed my mind. if i meet

someone, i like someone for who they are, not
for what they do. i didnt set out to not be with
someone in the public eye.
Danielle, how is it dating someone famous?
strange. its something ive never experienced
even doing this interview today is strange!
but everyones been lovely, and today has
been brilliant.
How was it for you knowing Brians past was
out there? Did you Google him?
my friends have done that for me, so i havent
felt the need! i wouldnt like to delve into the
past and plant seeds of doubt. im not really a
nosy person and you dont know whats true and
whats not apparently we met on twitter and
im 21 in one article!
Is it weird seeing your face in newspapers?
Danielle: the first time something went in the
press about me, it was a massive shock. brian
sent me a picture of it saying: just to pre-warn
you it was a lovely article, but your heart starts
pounding. its strange because your private life is
being looked into.
Brian, did it worry you that Danielle would
know about your past?
no. whatever youve done,
youve done. i think its the
same for everybody you
dont have to be famous to
be Google-able. its kind of
a level playing field now.
It probably saves
arguments if you
avoid looking into
each others pasts...

through her old photos and we dont talk about our
exes. It can make you jealous and cloud you, so we
dont talk about it at all. I know Danielle will have
seen stuff on me, but in general, its a clean slate.
Do you still speak to your exes, Brian?
I do, but we wouldnt sit and talk on the phone. With
Kerry, we speak regarding the kids, and Vogue and I
share a dog. We speak to each other the day before
were going to swap him over we take him three
months each at a time. She did The Jump recently so
I took Winston over Christmas, and now shell have
him while Im on the road.
Did you watch Vogue on The
Jump? She had a nasty knee
accident
Brian: I didnt, but I dont think
we expected anything less!
Theres only been four or five
of us whove got through it in
the last few years. I broke my
ribs on it last year and I had to
carry on!
Have you spoken to Vogue
about her accident?
Brian: No I havent, as I was away. I sent her a
message wishing her luck, but that was it. I havent
heard from her.
In a Loose Women appearance, she said she was
worried if you met someone new, you wouldnt
stay friends
Brian: When a break-up is fresh youre going to say
stuff like that. Its very difficult to remain friends
unless youve got children; I think its pointless, as its
going to get in the way of you having a future with
other people. Theres no bad vibes now weve just
moved on.

Danielle, were you a fan of Westlife when you
were growing up?
No. I liked the music, but I was really sporty so didnt
have posters of boybands on my wall. I was into
athletics and netball.
Were your friends fans?
Danielle: I dont think so. When I was in school it was
Take That and East 17. [Brian snorts!]
How have your friends responded to you
dating Brian?
Danielle: At first they were like, are you for real?
But its just normal now. When they meet Brian they
realise how down to earth he is. Because I work in
a school, the kids know who he is, but theyre not
massive fans its the mums! The kids say: My mum
says: Can I have an autograph?
So the kids havent teased you?
Danielle: When it first came out, I got a message
from a work friend who said that it was all over
Facebook and they sung Westlife songs when I
walked into the gym. But its not a thing anymore.
Are your family excited for you?
Danielle: Theyre very happy. My mum and dad love
Brian and theyve never liked any of my boyfriends!
My dad has been out with him for a game of snooker
and theyre very supportive.
How are you finding living together? Who does
the housework?
Brian: Danielle is a bit OCD, she loves everything
to be perfect! We get up every morning at 7am
and I make Danielle breakfast. When she heads
off to school, I head to the golf course. Its great, its
definitely helped my golf game!
Do you still have your place in Ireland, Brian?
Im renting a home in Below: The couple

Danielle: More so
recently, I think because

Barbados. Im starting
to notice it more.

Brian: She looked in great shape, I looked terrible!

Are you on a new fitness regime?

Brian: Normally in January and February I give up
drinking, train and get in shape, but this year I carried
on enjoying myself! I realised it was close to the tour, so
I did the Clean 9 diet [a low-calorie plan featuring meal
replacement drinks and weight-loss supplements] for
six days though it was supposed to be nine! Now Im
just trying to eat normally and start training.

Is Danielle encouraging you to be healthier?

Brian: Shes supportive but she does her own style
of dieting. Well, she doesnt diet she just eats
everything and trains constantly!
Danielle: I think Im probably rubbing off on him. I
could never do anything like juicing. Id rather train and
eat a normal, balanced diet. I love carbs!

Do you go to the gym together?

Danielle: Weve tried but its really hard because my
schedule is very different to his. Instead well go for a
walk to get some fresh air.

Where do you think youll settle in the future?

Brian: We have no long-term plans at the moment.
Well just have to wait and see how everything goes
this year.

How do you feel about marriage and babies,

Danielle?
[Laughs] It doesnt scare me. I can only see myself
being with Brian, so that would be a really amazing
thing. Id be more than happy to do that.

What about you, Brian?

Absolutely, Id definitely love to have more kids in
the future.

Do the girls stay at Danielles with you?

going to school in Dublin in September, so shes

probably going to live with my mum and dad. I think itll

be easier for Molly to concentrate on her exams there.
Its going to make things harder now for us all to be
together, but you have to make sacrifices.

Your old bandmate Ronan Keating is expecting a

baby are you still friends?
Brian: Yeah, of course. Ronan turned 40 earlier this
month and hes got a big party in London in a couple
of weeks. Its kind of weird for Ronan as hes been flat
out for the last couple of years between here and
Australia, and now hes having a baby. Im delighted for
him his kids are grown up now and I think he misses
that. Its great for Storm [Ronans wife]. Shes a brilliant
stepmum to the other three.

Danielle, is meeting Brians celebrity friends

surreal?
In the past when youve heard people say: Oh, hes
just a normal person, you think, really? Come on! But
now Ive been in that situation I realise how normal it is.
When you meet somebody famous for the first time,
its like meeting anybody.

Brian, Keith Duffy has hit back at Nicky Byrne

for being arrogant after he criticised your
Boyzlife project. What do you make of it?
A lot of it is tongue-in-cheek. Keith is always
putting in little digs and when Nicky and Kian
[Egan] see it, theyre laughing. It all stemmed from
the first time it came out about Keith and I putting
on The Boyzlife Show. It was miscommunicated
it looked like we were forming a Westlife/Boyzone
supergroup, but Keith and I are actually doing an
autobiographical show. Its not like were a band!
Kian was caught off-guard by a journalist and
was like: I didnt even know anything about it. But
theres no problem. Ronan and the Boyzone boys
have been so supportive they make a cameo on
screen during the show.

What about the Westlife boys?

Brian: I dont have that relationship with the
Westlife boys. I left that band 13 years ago, so
Ive been out of the band twice as long as I was
in it. Most of them live in Dublin Nicky, Kian and
Shane [Filan] live in Ireland and Mark [Feehily]
lives in London. We dont cross paths.

And its not awkward?

Last time I bumped into Mark we had a few
drinks, but I have a lot more in common with the
Boyzone boys. When I see the Westlife boys, its
like meeting somebody you went to school with
theres no negativity, there just is no vibe.

Whats it like working with Keith?

We love all the same things and play golf together
every day. Hes like my other half! When were not
working together, were hanging out.

Brian: Of course, theyre the Boyzlife WAGs! I
spend a lot of time with Keiths family. I took his
son Jay out go-karting recently and he came
out on the whole last tour with us. My house [in
Ireland] is across the road from Keiths.

Is it true Keith gave up a Game Of Thrones role

to do The Boyzlife Show?
Brian: Yeah. Hed auditioned three times and they
didnt have a proper role for him. Then just before
we were about to start the Boyzlife tour, they were
like: We have a role for you in season four. So he
had to turn it down.

Danielle, how are you feeling about Brian going

away on tour?
Going back to seeing each other only on
weekends will be tough. But some of the dates
are over here so he can come up to Manchester
and at weekends I can go with him. OK!

umours of a Girls Aloud reunion have
been rife since the bands brief 2012
reincarnation. So it was a shock for viewers
of Lets Sing And Dance For Comic Relief
when Blues Duncan James appeared in drag as
Nadine Coyle. His performance of Girls Alouds
Biology with fellow Boys Allowed bandmates
Gareth Gates, Jon Lee, Ritchie Neville and Ben
Ofoedu, got the thumbs up from Nadine, 31, who
told him: I may need that wig when youre done!
Although singing is still her number one
passion, she has a few surprises of her own,
studying to become a psychiatrist, telling OK!:
Its a long-term plan, ten years at least, and
starring in upcoming British movie Pin Cushion.
Despite reports that Nadine relocated to
California while her family ran her now closed
beachfront bar Nadines Irish Mist, she insists
she never moved there. She lives in London with
her fianc of seven years, American NFL player
Jason Bell, 38, and their daughter Anaya, three.
Here, she tells OK! about her collaboration
with Specsavers, having more babies and how

is there a reunion planned?
You never know. Weve done it once before!
Are you currently in talks with the rest of
the band?
No, nothing. Not any talks. I couldnt even tell
you when I last caught up with them. It was a
while ago.
Are you happy for Cheryl becoming a mum?
Im so, so excited. Its the most amazing time,
scary but wonderful.
Have you sent her a congratulatory message?
No, I havent seen her in a long time, I really,
really havent. But Im very, very happy for her
and very, very excited for her.
Where are you and your family based now?
London. Ive lived here since I was 16. Theres
a big misunderstanding about me living in LA

very family dreams of taking a
relaxing break in warmer climes
to escape the chilly winter
months in the UK, and where
better to spend some quality time with
your loved ones than on a Caribbean
cruise? Thats exactly what TOWIEs first
family, the Wrights, chose to do recently,
inviting OK! along for the tropical trip.
Jetting into Miami, Florida, the family,
led by dynamic mother-daughter duo
Carol and Jessica Wright, stepped
aboard Royal Caribbeans Harmony Of
The Seas for a seven-night cruise.
Carol, 56, and Jess, 31, joined by
youngest sibling Natalya, 16, and family
patriarch Mark Sr, 61, first visited the sun-
soaked shores of Labadee in Haiti before
stopping off at Falmouth, Jamaica and
finally arriving at Cozumel in Mexico.
Maximising their time in the sunshine,
the family also spent a further four days
at Universal Studios in Florida before
flying home to Essex.
While Mark Wright, 30, wife Michelle
Keegan, 29, and footballer Josh Wright,
27, sadly couldnt join the group due to
other commitments, the family tells OK!
theyre keen to organise another trip
soon for the whole clan to enjoy.
While Jess may have departed the
show that made her famous a year ago,
she recently wowed audiences with
her energetic performances on ITVs
Dance Dance Dance. Meanwhile, Carol
has returned to filming ITVBes TOWIE with
best pal Debbie Douglas, dishing out advice
to younger cast members whenever they are
in need.

their idyllic trip, whether theyd support
Mark and Michelles rumoured move to Los
Angeles and why Jess is determined not to
settle when it comes to her love life

Carol: He normally loves it. If he
was prepared, he wouldve been up
there, but we didnt tell him wed put
his name down.
How did he feel about holidaying
with all of you girls?
Carol: Hes fine. He does walk off a lot to
people watch, though.
Jessica: Its him and then us three girls,
so he just takes himself off and goes
into his own little world. As you can
imagine, being with three women is
quite intense for ten days!
Do you go on family trips regularly?
Carol: We try to get as many family
holidays in as we can. Everyones so
busy, and one of my sons [Josh] is a
footballer, so its only in May that we
can go away with him. Its just finding
the time.
Were you sad that Mark and Michelle
couldnt make it?
Carol: Of course they were invited, but
Mark and Michelle are very busy. Im
sure this year well find a way where we
can all go away together.
How often do you spend time with
Mark and Michelle?
Jessica: Were all one big family, so of
course we spend a lot of time together,
How did you enjoy the cruise? as most families do.
Carol: Oh, it was amazing. Carol: Its the same as we do with the others
Jessica: It was so fun. It was fairly new as they come round and we have dinners.
well, the ship was around six months old and Jessica: Yes, and spend quality time
there was so much to do it was brilliant! together as a family.
Carol: We watched lovely shows.
Jessica: And we went on water slides and There are rumours that they might
had some amazing dinners. both soon pursue a career in Hollywood.

town together?
Carol: Yes, we often go out together if its
the type of place that I can go. Im getting a
bit older now!
Jessica: We usually all go out for dinner, then
the younger girls go out and the women stay
there or we send them home!
Carol: Or we follow them out [laughs].
You both look amazing in our pictures.
Are you feeling body confident ahead of
the summer?
Jessica: Definitely, Im working out as much as
possible at the minute to try and change my
body shape and make it better. But I feel good.
Im just looking to get a bit more fit and toned.
Carol: Were both training.

Do you have any particular goals?
Jessica: Im just working on toning my whole
body. I want to be fitter all over. So watch this
space! Hopefully its working as Im training
really hard at the minute.
And youre working with a trainer, Jess?
Jessica: Yes, were working on cardio and
weights five days a week. It can be really tough,
but its got to be done.
Carol: No pain, no gain.
Jessica: Exactly. The more work you put in, the
more you get out of it.
Do you ever exercise together?
Carol: We do. Weve just started playing
tennis together.
Jessica: And we do classes together. My mums
really good at the tennis.
Carol: I think I shocked her to be honest!
Do you get competitive?
Carol: We do.
Jessica: Were a very competitive family.
My technique is probably a bit better, but
shes quite powerful with it. Shes not scared
of the ball [laughs].
Carol, you recently posted on Instagram
about juicing. How often do you juice?
Its like a ritual now in our family to have a
juice every morning because its healthy. My
youngest, Natalya, makes them up
of a night

Jessica:
Shes not
into the television side of things, but she enjoys
modelling. Shes been signed by Select Models
and shes had a few jobs, so shes finding her
feet in that. She loves fashion and designing,
too.
Carol: And health shes a health fanatic.
Have you given her any advice about being in
the public eye?
Jessica: I say to her: Youve got to be careful
what jobs you do and dont accept, make sure
you try your best at everything and keep your
options open.
Carol: Were lucky with Natalya as well, because
shes headstrong. She knows the direction that
she wants to go in. Shes not the type of child
who you could push to do this or that.
Jessica: Shes too young to drink, but she
wouldnt even want to shes quite sensible.
Which is handy, thank God!
James Argent has been taking some time
out in a Thai rehab. Are you happy hes
getting help?
Carol: Were very proud of him.
Jessica: We wish him all the best and all the
luck. Were all here for him. Weve been talking
to him and were in touch all the time.
Jess, you did so well on Dance Dance
Dance. Has it inspired you to try and take on
theatre roles?
Yes, I was talking about this the other day, about
possibly getting up on stage. Obviously I sing
as well how good I am, I dont know but I
love to sing and dance. I did it all growing up,
so why not? I love Motown music, but I also
love dancing, so something quite high-energy
would be good.
Carol, how proud are you of Jess?
Im a very proud mum. Sometimes I have
to pinch myself and remind myself of how
lucky I am, because Ive got four wonderful
children. All four of them are so successful.
Its an achievement for me, really. Theyre all
very grounded.
Whats your secret to raising high achievers?
Carol: I think you just have to keep them
very grounded, and make sure they remember
where their roots are from, never taking anything
for granted and always appreciating what
youve got.
Jessica: She was a very pushy mum, Im not
going to lie! We were in every single stage show
and after-school activity swimming, tennis,
I did everything growing up. And thats exactly
how Id be with my kids.
Carol: I would take them every night. Nothing
was ever too much for us to do as parents, to
make sure they could achieve what they wanted.
 Jessica says she Jess, are you dating anyone in

Are you enjoying the

dating scene?
Put it this way, Ive had some
really good dates and some really
bad ones. Recently, I knew as
soon as I got there that it wasnt
going to go anywhere, and I had
to endure the rest of the date
entertaining this guy and I just
wasnt interested one bit.

How important is it to get your

mums approval on whoever
youre dating?
Ill listen to her advice, but at
the same time its all about
the chemistry you have with
someone. As Ive got older, I am
quite picky now. Im so happy
on my own and Ive just bought
a house thats being built from
scratch, so Im doing that up at
the minute. Its more about
me finding someone who
enhances my life, as opposed
to someone who doesnt really
bring anything to it.

How do you look back on your

past relationships now?
Ive never been one to settle, but
I have jumped into relationships
in the past. Ive been in
relationships my whole life and
the past two years is the first
time Ive been single, and its
been the best thing ever because
its made me be so much more
independent and find out what
I really want.

Whats the best thing about

being single?
Having no one to answer to,
having the bed to myself and
being able to chuck someone out
if I dont want them there! But
at the same time, I miss having
lovely, cosy Sunday nights in,
going on family holidays and my
partner coming along. There are
things I do really miss about it,
but its one of those things. I am
really happy on my own and I
have a great social life.

Carol, what type of man would

you like to see Jess settle
down with?
Someone whos really happy,
someone who will make her
laugh because shes one of those
girls who likes to have a laugh.
Shes easy going. Shes not
expecting to be wined and
dined, she wants an easy life
and to be happy.

ast week I got a big surprise
when I was named Soap
Personality Of The Year at the
TRIC Awards at Londons
Grosvenor House Hotel [far right,
see p108 for more]. EastEnders star
June Brown, Tina OBrien and myself
were nominated and, before the
BirTHday celeBraTions
T his Monday,
it was my
mums big
birthday. She
turned 70 but
didnt want a
fuss. She said
shed be happy
to just go for a
family meal,
but theyre
always difficult
to pull together.
As it was my
dads 72nd
birthday the
previous Friday,
I organised a family get
together at my house over the
weekend. It was chaos and I
had to clean up afterwards! But
she really enjoyed it as it
showed how much everybody
cared for her. I had a two-tier
cake made with icing sugar
figures of them both on the top.
Its nice that they can share
their birthdays. Im going to
send them off on a little holiday
later in the year just so they
can celebrate on their own. Im
iT was sucH a Big surprise!

that June was going to win it. So
when they said my name I was really
shocked. Everyone sat with me said
the look on my face was hysterical.
I had nothing to say in the speech

everybody sat on our table said if

Its nice to get recognition for

dress to the event and we all had
a few drinks to celebrate and
then got the train home. I was
exhausted by the time I got home
from having so much fun. Matt
took me out for dinner to celebrate
a couple of days later.

My own 15-minute fat loss app, most of the
time. Its high intensity interval training
periods of giving 100 per cent so you feel like
youre dying, then having a recovery period
and repeating. Then Ill train a different body
part each day with weights.

Do you ever take a break?
I did in November and December I wanted to
be able to go for dinner with my boyfriend, go
for Sunday lunch with my family, go drinking
with the girls. I put on about a stone.
Does exercise affect your mood?
I use to suffer from really bad anxiety and panic
attacks and it completely cured me. It makes
me feel happy and balanced.
Do you ever work out with James?
No, he goes rugby training and I go to the gym.
But on holiday we do. As an athlete he has it
drilled into him that he needs to be active all
the time so hell drag me to the hotel gym. Hes
in far better shape than me, so it does push me
to be more competitive.
Whats your guilty pleasure?
Pizza, without a doubt! Once a week James and I
order a large pizza each from Dominos and some
sides. He always tells me I wont finish it and I
always do. Well get ice cream for dessert and
normally go through a bottle of wine afterwards.
Whats your favourite body part?
My favourite and least favourite body
part is actually the same thing its my
mid section. Its the first thing to get
out of shape but when I work hard I get
abs, and I appreciate them a lot. Its a
pat on the back for all your hard work.
Whos your celebrity body idol?
Britney Spears has always been an
icon her body is banging. You can
tell she performs really hard. I met
her when I was 14 and she was so
sweet and normal, but so tired.
Do celebs ask you for fitness tips?
I trained with Melanie Sykes for a
while, not that she needed me shes
already in killer shape.
Does it bother you when you receive
negative comments on social media?
When people say: Women shouldnt
look like you, that really annoys me.
Women should look how they want to

l 450g butter, softened
l 450g caster sugar
l 7 eggs
l Seeds of 2 vanilla pods or
4tsp vanilla extract
l 1tsp baking powder
l 2tbsp Greek yoghurt
l 2tbsp milk
l 300g self-raising flour
l Pinch of salt
l 150g white chocolate,
melted
l Flowers, to decorate
T
his is a truly beautiful cake,
perfect for a real celebration,
such as a wedding or
engagement. The trick is to create
neat blueberry buttercream
layers, and to choose flowers that
complement the purply blue of the
frosting. Make sure that your choice
of flowers are safe to use on a cake.
1 Preheat the oven to 180C (160C
fan/350F/gas 4) and line the
base of the cake tins with baking
parchment. Cream together the
butter and caster sugar until light and
fluffy. You can do this for five minutes
in a stand mixer or using a hand-held
electric whisk. You can also do this by
hand, but it takes about ten minutes
and lots of elbow grease!
2 Add two of the eggs with the
vanilla, baking powder and half of
the yoghurt, milk and flour. Beat
well together and then add the
remaining eggs with the rest of the
yoghurt, milk and flour and beat
well again until evenly combined.
Add a pinch of salt, beat for a
moment and then fold in the melted
chocolate. Divide the mixture evenly
between the lined cake tins and
smooth the tops with the back
of a spoon. Bake the cakes in the
oven (in batches if necessary) for
25-35 minutes, or until golden and
a skewer inserted into the centre of
each cake comes out clean.
3 As the cakes are baking, make the
vanilla syrup. Put the granulated
sugar into a small pan with the
water and vanilla over a low heat.
Heat gently until the sugar has
dissolved, stirring, and then turn up
the heat and bring to the boil. Allow

brush them liberally with the vanilla
syrup to give the cake a beautifully
moist crumb. Set the cakes aside to
cool down completely.
5 As the cakes are cooling, prepare
the blueberry puree for the
buttercream. Put the blueberries,
caster sugar and water into a small
pan and cook over a low heat for
five minutes, until the blueberries
have broken down and become
mushy, stirring occasionally.

blueberry mixture for another five
minutes, stirring occasionally, then

reacts to it pretty much

Dried fruit and regular fruit
are packed with sugar, but
they have a redeeming
quality due to their
fibre content, the insulin
spike that comes with
eating sugar is reduced
somewhat, making them
slightly healthier.
1 Preheat the oven to

Pour this into a large bowl
along with the toasted
almonds, oats, apricots,
orange, salt, cinnamon,
vanilla and sesame,

Using a sharp knife, mark
out 16 squares and pop the
flapjacks into the oven for
18-20 minutes.

baking parchment. Cut into
the 16 squares to serve.
Tip: why not change the
apricots to your favourite
dried fruit and substitute
the almonds with another
nut hazelnuts or
