Mother

Quran: we have enjoyed on man kindness to his


parents .In pain did his mother bear him and in this
pain she give him birth.
Hadith: Allah has forbidden for you to be undutiful
to your mothers.

Daughter
Quran: when the female (infant) buried alive
is questioned for what crime she was killed.
[81:8-9]
Hadith: If anyone cares for three daughters,
disciplines them, marries them and does good
to them .he will go to paradise.

Rights of parents

Quran: Show gratitude to me and your
parents.
Hadith: Allah has forbidden for you to be
undutiful to your parents.

Rights of relatives
Quran: And do well to parents, relatives,
orphan, those in need, neighbors who are
near and those neighbors who are strangers.
Hadith: That who severs the bond of kinsfolk
will not enter paradise.

Rights of Wife
Quran: They are your garments and you are
their garments. [2:187]
Hadith: The best amongst you is the one who
is best towards his wife.

Equality between Men
and Women
Quran: If any do deeds of righteousness, be
they male or female and have faith, they will
enter heaven..[4:124]
Hadith: To acquire knowledge is the duty of
every Muslim male and every Muslim female.

Rights of Husband
Quran: therefore the righteous women are
devotedly obedient and guard in (husbands)
absence what Allah would have them
guard
Hadith: If a woman dies and her husband is
contented with her, she will enter paradise

Relations with the
members of opposite sex
Quran: Lower your gaze and guard your
modesty
Hadith: A woman who freely mixes with the
opposite gender and shows off her
decorations is without any light and virtue.

Rights of orphans and


needy
Quran: Therefore not treat the orphans with
harshness nor repulse the petitioners.
Hadith: The best Muslim house is that in
which an orphan is well treated and the worst
Muslim house is in which an orphan is ill
treated.

Modesty towards Allah

Quran: Be just that is next is piety and fear
Allah. For Allah is well-acquainted with all that
you do.
Hadith: practice modesty towards Allah as it
ought to be practiced.

Modesty towards friends


Quran: .nor defame nor be sarcastic to each
other, nor call each other by (offensive)
nicknames.[49:11]
Hadith: A Muslim is one from whose hands
and tongue other Muslims are safe.

Modesty in dressing
Quran: ... he made you garments to protect
you from heat and coats of mail to protect
from your (mutual) violence.

look at him who trails his lower garments out

Brotherhood
Quran: The believers are but a single
brotherhood [49:10]
Hadith: A Muslim is a brother of another
Muslim and they form one brotherhood.

Alms
Quran: Those (who in) spend of their goods by
night and by day in secret and in public have
their rewards with their lord; on them shall be
no fear nor shall they grieve.
Hadith: Save yourself from hell fire even by
giving half a date-fruit in charity.

Riba
Quran: but Allah has permitted trade and
forbidden usury..
Hadith: Allah has forbidden you to take

Justice in weighing and


measure
Quran: Give full measure when you measure
and weight with a balance that is straight.
Hadith: One who cheats is not amongst us.

Honesty in business
transaction
Quran: Woe to the cheaters.

Hadith: If both the parties (buyer and seller)
spoke the truth and described the defects and
qualities of good, then they would be blessed
in their transaction, and if they told lies or hid
something, then the blessing of their
transaction would be lost.

Hoarding
Quran: Woe to every scandal-monger and
backbiter. Who piles up wealth and lays it
by[104:1-2]
Hadith: Hoarding is accursed

Rights of Non-Muslims
Quran: Let there be no compulsion in religion.
[2:256]

To you be your way, and to me mine [109:6]

Hadith: Do not abuse the gods of other
religion or their prophets or religious men, lest
they should abuse your God o prophet o your
religious men.

Whoever oppresses any Dhimmi, I shall be


his prosecutor on the day of judgment.

Rights of the neighbors


Quran: And do good to parents, relatives,
orphan, those in need, neighbors who are
near and those neighbors who are strangers.

Hadith: The one who believes in Allah and his
last day should do good to his neighbors.

Strangers

Hadith: Give food and give greetings to those
you know and those you do not know

Old people
Quran: Be kind to your parents whether one
or both attain old age of thy life.
Hadith: He does not belong to us who does
not show mercy to our young ones and
respect to our old men

Slaves
Hadith: One who treats his slaves badly and
unkindly will not enter Paradise.
