Praxis Core Exam Analysis

Exam Requirements

Before applying to UNLV, NSC, or UNR you must first pass the Praxis Core

Exam. You transfer to these schools in order to obtain your Bachelors degree in

Education. The passing scores for the Praxis Core in Nevada are as follows a score of 156

in reading, a score of 162 in writing, and a score of 150 in mathematics.

Exam Preparation

I did not do much to prepare for the Praxis Core Exam. I have read about the

exam previously yes. I did look over some notebooks and material that I am currently

using the classes I am taking.

Exam Results

In Math, I scored in the 62% range, which means that Im not likely to pass the

Math section when I take the official Praxis Core Exam. The website stated that I needed

to improve before I take my exam. In Reading, I scored in the 23% range, which means

that Im not likely to pass the Reading section when I take the official Praxis Core Exam.

The website stated that I needed to improves substantially. In Writing, I scored in the

40% range, which means that Im not likely to pass the Writing section when I take the

official Praxis Core Exam.

Future Exam Preparation

I will most likely look into online programs that I can purchase to help me study

for the exam. I think that I will also need to look for a tutor to help me with math and
maybe even purchase books on the subject. I will also look into effective ways of test

taking so that I can be more prepared to take the exam.
