100th Anniversary of Our Ladys First Apparition at Fatima, Portugal

Local Events in Celebration of this Anniversary

Christ the King Church/St. Catharine Church (2777 East Livingston Avenue, Columbus)
9:00am Mass at Christ the King Church in honor of Our Lady of Fatima. Mass will be followed by an outdoor
rosary procession from Christ the King Church to St. Catharines Church in Bexley. The rosary will be
prayed in English and Spanish.

Holy Family Church/St. Patricks Church (584 West Broad Street, Columbus)
7:00pm Church opens for prayer at 7pm. An outdoor rosary procession
with a statue of Our Lady of Fatima will occur starting at 7:30pm at
Holy Family Church and ending at St. Patrick Church. Upon arrival
at St. Patricks, the Litany of Loreto will be prayed. (NOTE: Fr
Thomas Blau OP will be preaching about Our Lady at all the
masses at Holy Family that weekend, including the 5pm vigil mass
on Saturday, May 13).

Holy Name Church (154 E. Patterson Avenue, Columbus)

8:00am Rosary will be prayed. (8am coordinates with the time in Portugal
when Our Lady first appeared to the children 100 years ago.)
8:30am Holy Mass
9:00am Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament - Rosary, Adoration and
Silent prayer
11:00am Confessions
12:00pm Bells ring in memory of the apparition
Consecration of individuals and families to the Immaculate Heart of
Mary
Rosary of reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary followed by
some Marian hymns
Benediction and reposition of the Blessed Sacrament

St. Joan of Arc Church (10700 Liberty Road South, Powell)

8:30am Mass in honor of Our Lady of Fatima to be followed by the Rosary led by the Knights of Columbus
immediately afterwards. Opportunity to venerate the statue of Our Lady of Fatima will be offered.

St. Joseph Cathedral (212 East Broad Street, Columbus)

9:30am Rosary will be prayed.
10:00am A special mass will be held in honor of the 100th anniversary of the appearance of Our Lady of Fatima to
be held at the Cathedral downtown. Cathedral Rector Father Michael Lumpe will celebrate the mass.
Monsignor Lane will be the homilist.

St. Peter Church (6899 Smoky Row Road, Columbus)

9:00am A procession with a statue of Our Lady of Fatima will occur from the church to the outdoor grotto, where
the rosary will be prayed.

St, Timothy Church (1088 Thomas Lane, Columbus)

24 Hours of Eucharistic Adoration will be held in honor of the 100th year anniversary of the apparitions of Our
Lady of Fatima. Beginning Friday, May 12 at 6pm with Exposition and Eucharistic Adoration, continuing
through the night until the 5pm Saturday vigil mass on May 13.
