What were the interns primary responsibilities?

The last two weeks I have worked on a couple of big projects for the athletic department. My
main duties were to compile a master schedule for all athletic events schedule for the 2017-2018
school year, as well as make a spreadsheet listing all away games and their dates in order for Jon
Waters to easily be able to know when to schedule bus drivers. I also helped to film one of the
baseball games for LHSN, and helped to plan and put on Percy Abell day for the baseball team.

What Planning and/or Preparation activities went into the responsibilities?

Coordinating back and forth with Waters through text and email, as well as meeting in his office

What difficulties or problems did the intern need to overcome? What strategies/decisions were
used?

Getting all of the different schedule made up for the teams so far for next season was a small
challenge.

What did the intern learn during this period?

How far ahead the athletic department has to plan for their scheduling. Also, learned how to
operate one of the video cameras for LHSN.

Were any tasks or responsibilities repetitive from previous reporting periods?
