SCOPE

This document provides the structural analysis on the two BUS DUCT frames ( Frame 1 & 2 ) supported on the
module on the Asset Development Projects which are to be undertaken at Tengizchevroils facility at Tengiz in
the Republic of Kazakhstan. These calculations are for the design of the support system for BUS DUCT from
the substation toward the transformer building.

DEAD LOAD

The bus duct is specified to have a dead load of 146.9 kg/m (Ref: Drg. No. 0-3200-P-6839-03).

Taking 1.5 kN/m to account for other fittings along with the dead load.

WIND LOAD

The Applicable Dynamic Wind Pressure is provided in the Technical specification document QST-2016-Rev3
Clause 7.2.

SNOW LOAD

The Snow Load to be used for design is 0.5 kN/m. (Ref: QST-2016 Rev 3)

SEISMIC DESIGN LOAD

Seismic design load is provided in the Technical specification document QST-2016-Rev3, clause 7.4.3.

Horizontal +/- 0.0625 DL

Vertical +/- 0.05 DL

ANALYSIS

ABB uses the Structural Analysis Software Bentley STAAD V8i to check the structural members against this
design standard.

The dimensions and the initial scheme is generated from the client drawings.

RESULTS SUMMARY

Frame one was structurally analysed using STAAD and designed to Euro Code Package. The Utility Ratios
for the members are provided bellow. The deflections and stress levels in the structure are also with in
allowable limits. The maximum utilisation in the entire frame is 0.65.
