Dear Student,
The FCAT is part of Florida's plan to improve student achievement. It measures challenging content
standards, called the Sunshine State Standards (SSS). The purpose of the FCAT is to ensure that Florida's
public schools are providing you with the best education possible, and preparing you for future success.
This report allows you to compare your score to the score expected of students in your grade and to follow
your academic progress from year to year. In addition, by looking at the content scores, you can identify
skill areas that may need improvement.
Yours truly,
Lev el 1
