To Whom It May Concern:

It has been my pleasure to have known Savannah Amburgey-McDermott for the past two years
as her teacher at Western High School. Upon meeting Savannah, I was immediately struck by
her politeness and respectful personality. She is a gentle student who has never been in trouble
and has earned the respect of the faculty and staff at WHS. She is a well rounded student who
has explored many of the outstanding opportunities for academic advance here at WHS. For
example, Savannah is currently taking a Links course for the second year working with students
with disabilities. She is a hard- worker who strives for dependability and is a very creative
problem solver. There have been multiple times over the past few years where I have been
impressed by her ability to figure out an inventive solution to a problem she was faced with.

Savannah has had many struggles academically and personal in her four years of High School.
It is not often that I get to see a student work as hard as she did to put themselves back on track
and be successful. I really am proud of her and think that it speaks to the type of person she is
that she was willing to work harder than most students have to, in order to earn her diploma. I
cannot wait to see her walk across the stage in just a few short weeks!

I have found Savannah to be a wonderful young lady who is determined to find her place in the
world, and I admire her for her resolution. I wish to give Savannah Amburgey-McDermott my
enthusiastic recommendation.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions.
