Prognosis
Tuberculosis is caused by
mycobacterium. The
infection or disease
normally effects a persons
lungs. It can last two to
three months with active
tuberculosis. It can be
treated with a series of
medications, which
therefore means it is
curable. However, it takes
a long time to treat.
Depending on the
medication and type of TB,
it can take anywhere from
four to nine months to
treat the disease.
