Functional Requirements

1) The system needs to store all its salesperson lead in an integrated database instead of
multiple individual databases so that we can avoid different salesperson working with the
same author.
2) The systems need to automatically assign and inform a task to a technician once it
finishes his or hers previous task. Moreover, the system also needs to automatically
assign a book to a technician once the book and author details have been keyed into the
system.
3) The system need to be able to pull sale summaries from both partner e-commerce site and
own e-commerce site and match it up with the book database by book and author so that
a royalty summary can be generated.
4) The system also need to be able to export a subnet of the books status to their soon to be
built self-service website so that authors will be able to check their manuscript status via
online instead of calling in.
5) The system needs to allow staff members to display the manuscripts production status.
6) The system need to be able to analyze and calculate lead details like calls per lead, track
call notes and dates.
