2-DAY SEMINAR/WORKSHOP ON ESSENTIAL

READING FOR GRADES I, II AND III TEACHERS

I. Introduction

Everyone is thankful that he/she has the chance to participate for this 2 -day
seminar /workshop on essential reading at Eulogio Rodriguez Sr. Elementary School
with the theme Enhancing Teachers Capacity Towards Reading. The seminar was
conducted by School to School Partnership BMTM ( Basa Mo! Tagumpay Mo!
Team to enhance teachers capacity in teaching reading.

The 2-day seminar/ workshop also caters to the needs of learners, as well as ,
teachers in enhancing some strategies and approach , faculty development ,
curriculum and instruction, and a lot more. It is also a good point that this includes
issues and concerns that are really timely to address the needs of our learners as
well as the challenges of the 21st century.

Truly, with the unending support of Mrs. Merlin N. Villegas, principal of Pura V.
Kalaw Elementary School, , Mrs. Jocelyn A. Lopez , principal of E. Rodriguez Sr.
Elementary School this seminar has met its purpose to help each participating
teacher and strengthen its areas and uphold quality higher education. And of
course, this will always reminds us to be dedicated on our chosen profession, to be
a teacher is to be a steward of God. A teacher, before he become the great he must
be first kind, without his unselfish desires, he will be more effective, remarkably
remembered through the years. Teachers must be always kind to their learners,
colleagues and to some ordinary people because every person has their own battle,
so we must be more understanding, thats the attitude of a teacher, that is the core
of our profession.

II. Significance of the Program

This 2 -day seminar /workshop on essential reading conducted by the School to

School Partnership Reading Program held at Eulogio Rodriguez Sr. Elementary
School with the theme Enhancing Teachers Capacity Towards Reading, signifies
the value of our education, that we especially give to our learners.

This seminar also allows us to reflect and realize the things that we are still
lacking to be an effective teacher. A handful of new learning has served a good
purpose.
 III. Program Proper

The 2 -day seminar /workshop on essential reading at Eulogio Rodriguez Sr.

Elementary School with the theme Enhancing Teachers Capacity Towards
Reading that was conducted by School to School Partnership BMTM ( Basa Mo!
Tagumpay Mo! Team was headed by our energetic and supportive principal , Mrs.
Merlin Villegas, Mrs. Jocelyn A. Lopez, and the BMTM ( Basa Mo! Tagumpay Mo! )
Team.

IV. Summary

With its ventilated and well lighted venue, though small for some , sometimes
with meals and snacks served with much palatability and satisfaction, along with todays
invaluable seminar topics , the speakers and participants just couldnt find reasons to
leave the room and miss the event, clean before , while and after the seminar is going.

This 2 -day seminar /workshop on essential reading conducted by the School to

School Partnership Reading Program held at Eulogio Rodriguez Sr. Elementary School
with the theme Enhancing Teachers Capacity Towards Reading indeed a successful
and meaningful seminar. All the valuable things weve learned in this seminar will
become bullets that our pupils will be the target and hopefully, it is bulls eye to their
hearts and minds.

V. Conclusion

This 2 -day seminar /workshop on essential reading conducted by the School to

School Partnership Reading Program held at Eulogio Rodriguez Sr. Elementary
School with the theme Enhancing Teachers Capacity Towards Reading was made
possible .This is because of the support of Mrs. Merlin n. Villegas, Mrs. Jocelyn A.
Lopez, BMTM Team, the intelligent resource speakers, active participants and above
all to our Almighty God who gave us wisdom, strength and knowledge for the
realization of the activities.
