Harkinta ( Forthought in Finnish)

The God of Cites, Heroes, Sacrifice, Oracles, and Knowledge

Harkinta is a Foreboding figure, in temples his depiction is always mutilated

in some way (it seems that they all cant agree with what is missing). He is
considered a great ally to the mortals of the world; however the help he offers
always comes at a cost. He is also know for assisting the legendary heroes of the
world in almost every great saga. In short many view the god as a necessary god,
not a pleasant god .

The Mutilation of the god seems to be connected with the creation of the city
stones ( not sure on the name). Every story seems to have him creating the stones
to protect men at great cost to him. The most common version of the story is
bellow.

When mortals knew not the secrets of metal or of tilling of the soil, and all
humanity lived like those do outside the wall today many cried out for relief. Mortals
of all races lived by their strength and skill with a blade. Most born did not reach
adulthood and only the fertility of those people keep all the races from
