1. Intended Use of the Equipment

Autoclaves and sterilizers are used for applications requiring constant pressure and
temperature for long periods of time. Common applications include the sterilization of
instruments and polymerization of rubbers, plastics, glass, ceramic, water and culture
medium.

Autoclaves and sterilizers in general may use a number of technologies to perform

equipment sterilization, including steam heating, dry heating, chemical sterilization, or
ultraviolet light, but majority of autoclaves function using some form of heat.

Steam autoclaves are far more common, using heated, vaporized water to kill pathogens,
and this equipment, J-NAS series Automatic Autoclaves use steam heating technology to
perform sterilization.

J-NAS series Automatic Autoclaves which are Laboratory autoclaves, are used in a variety of
thermal processing applications including general lab work, component and stability testing,
core hardening, drying glassware, and sterilizing.

2. Feature of Product

Open/close one touch type

Adopting four arm holder, one touch type switch opens and closes the lid conveniently.

Fully automated sterilization process.

One time setting enables fully automated sterilization process. Also exhaust pressure in
vessel after sterilizing for setting time. And finish-melody rings after pressure exhausting
procedure is completed.

JISICO-developed temperature controller

JISICO-developed temperature controller precisely regulates water-temperature in basket,
and this guarantees sterilization performance and safety of operation.

Internal air exhaust function

Internal air exhaust fountain is adjusted to exhaust air generated during the pre-heating
period.

Dual safety valves

In case of overpressure which may hardly occur, the initial safety valve activates and
decompresses the pressure inside the vessel of autoclave. When initial safety valve fails,
the secondary safety valve works to decompress pressure, and this dual safety valve
system guarantees safety of operation and operator.

Safety backup unit

The safety backup unit operates to cut off the power supply to heater when water
volume in the basket is below the minimum.

Installation of timer to enable automation

Timer is attached to set operation start time so as to automate turn-on and shutdown timing.
