The homework is intended to encourage and facilitate learning.

Students can
retake the homework assignment as many times as desired prior to their tutorial
session with only the last submitted mark counting towards the final grade.
Homework problems provide hints to help students learn the material. In
addition, as students may not have full command of the concepts prior to the
tutorial, each individual assignment is scaled up by 50% to a maximum of 100%.
For example, a student who answers 4 of 6 questions correctly on an assignment
will receive full marks for that assignment (4/6*1.5 = 100%).
To change a tutorial you will need to provide proof of a timetable clash or work
commitments. Important announcements and handouts may be given out in
lectures, so missing lectures (or even arriving late) may cause significant
difficulties for you. 3 Tutorials Students in are enrolled in two tutorials, one for
algebra and one for calculus.
Please do not submit an enrolment request unless you have an active
enrolment appointment.

is scheduled for the first half of the week. Students are able to change their
