COURSE: SCAFFOLDING SAFETY Erection, Supervision and Inspection.

This course is intended for persons responsible for inspecting and checking scaffolds for safe use, erection,
dismantling and for persons, who erect, dismantle and use the scaffold in accordance with statutory regulations.

GTS is accredited by Dubai Accreditation Center for Scaffold Inspections by European Certifying Organisation, ECO.

GTS is an ATI Authorized Training Institute of SAIA Scaffold & Access Industry Association U.S.A, and the
Instructors are approved by STI, U.S.A, EHS Trakhees U.A.E.

A Competent Person" Scaffold Training Program as per the Scaffold Industry Association-SIA, BS, OSHA and Local
Regulations.

The overall aim is to develop an understanding of scaffold components, forms of construction and inspection procedures of
basic access scaffolds and to comply with current legislation and Codes of Practice.

Means of Access, Fall Protection & Safe use of Ladders
Personal Protective Equipment & How to correctly don a body harness
How to identify appropriate anchorage points
How to perform a pre-use inspection of work at height equipment and scaffolding towers
Identify the hazards commonly associated with scaffolding.
Identify general scaffold requirements and safety considerations.
Identify specific precautions to take when working with scaffolding near power lines.
Identify safe work practices that prevent falls from scaffolding.
Identify safe work practices that prevent objects from falling from scaffolding.

The class will also include a hands-on course involving student participation.
