6.1-I
A. The green revolution sparked a worldwide effort in making the world a more
healthy place. This would connect to the Environment theme.
B. Antibiotics were used to treat diseases and illnesses that were never treatable
before, they increased the average human lifespan because of the new advancements like
the creation of antibiotics. This would fall under the ECON theme.
C. Polito plagued the world affecting thousands of people including children. With
the creation of the polio vaccine it helped save the lives of all the alive but infected
persons. The vaccine would not of been possible without the new advancements in
technology. This would fall under the ECON theme.
6.1-II
A. The need for flat land was crucial in period 6 because humans needed places to
live and with forests blocking the way it would never be possible. So we started tearing
down trees. This connects to the Environment theme.
B. Greenhouse gasses spread across the globe due to the rapid industrialization. This
would fall under the Environment theme.
C. Climate Change has been a concern of humans for centuries. The rise in use of
automobiles and factories heated the earth. This would fall under the Environmental
theme.
6.1-III
A. Malaria plagued the world killing thousands as well as affecting thousands. This
would fall under the Environment theme.
B. Influenza plagued the world killing many people. This would fall under the
environment theme.
C. Hiv Aids affected millions but it did not kill. This would fall under the
environment category.
D. Birth Control helped limit the number of children born on accident it dropped
adoption rates becaused less babies were considered accidents. This would fall under the
Social theme.

A. Tanks helped destroy powerful armies while also being extremely durable on the
battlefield. This would fall under the SB theme.
B. Trench Warfare was a new way of fighting. It led to a lot of problems especially
health issues like trench foot or illnesses. This would fall under the SB theme.
C. The bombings of Hiroshima were the biggest bombings the world had ever seen.
This would fall under the SB theme.

A. The UK controlled India, but at the turn of the century the british gave India their
independence as a free nation. This would fall under the CUL theme.
B. The French controlled Vietnam and Algeria, and like the UK did to India, the
French granted the 2 countries their independence. This would fall under the CUL theme.
6.2-II
A. Muhammad Ali Jinnah was one of the main leaders in the fight for Indian
independence. This would fall under the CUL theme.
B. The Indian National Congress was the main party for the fight for independence.
This would fall under the CUL theme.
C. Communism was a new idea founded by Karl Marx in the mid 1900s that
basically
created the idea of no classes and the idea of shared wealth.

A. This partition settled the countries of India and Pakistan once controlled by the
british but now free. This would fall under the ECON theme.
B. Filipinos now were migrating toward the US in pursuit of a better life. This would
fall under the CUL theme.
C. The Holocaust was the extinction of jews by Adolf Hitler. He pointed at the
Jewish community to be the source of the world's problems. This would fall under the SB
theme.

A. Picasso used the wonder of art and painting to create a symbol of piece during this
time of conflict in the world. This would fall under the SB theme.
B. Martin Luther King Jr. was a civil rights activist the US during a time of racial
segregation. This would fall under the SB, and CUL themes.
C. The Anti Apartheid movements only heightened the conflict happening in South
Africa. This would fall under the SB theme.
D. Al-Qaeda was a radical Islamic group (aka.terrorists) who pushed for a new ideal
Islamic state through heavy violence against innocent people. This would fall under the
SB theme.

A. The Five Year Plan was Stalin's plan to completely industrialize the USSR and
lead the country to world domination. This would fall under the SB theme.
B. The New Deal was a program launched by president Roosevelt to help the US
recover from the depression. This would fall under the SB theme.
C. Economic policies put in by president Reagan were instituted to help the economy
such as reducing taxes. This would fall under the ECON theme.

A. The UN was put in to establish a feeling of peace with most of the world's
nations. National leaders meet in New York to discuss world issues. This would fall under
the CUL theme.
B. The world bank is a program that gives loans to developing countries to help them
get up and running. This would fall under the CUL theme.
C. The Greenpeace is a government program that protects and conserves the
environments across the world. This would fall under the ENV theme.
6.3-III
A. This declaration was a document created by the UN giving everyone in every
country in the world their basic rights. This would fall under the CUL theme.
B. Women's suffrage in the US was very important to the outcome of US elections.
This would fall under the ECON theme.
C. The Civil Rights Act of 1965 gave everyone living in the US no matter what
heritage, color, race, religion, equal treatment and fairness in the country.

A. A style of Jamaican music which became popular across the globe in the 1970s.
This would fall under the CUL theme.
B. Bollywood is the hollywood of Indians which became known across the world.
This would fall under the CUL theme.
C. World Cup soccer became extremely popular to all countries as soccer grew and
grew more popular. This would fall under the CUL theme.
