Recently, there has been an increasing trend of relocating in developed cities.

In my opinion, living in such cities has both benefits and drawbacks.

It is undeniable that living in big cities is beneficial in several aspects. First,

residents of developed cities often have great job opportunities with high
salaries. This is because they could have access to good education from
leading schools and universities located in big cities. Additionally, big cities
are usually the financial and political centres of a country. Thus, companies
and businesses in such cities also receive substantial investments and offer
numerous working positions. Convenience is another strength of life in highly
developed cities. A variety of services, including medical and entertaining
facilities, are very handy to people living in a large city. As a result, they likely
have better healthcare and could enjoy more diverse forms of entertainment
as compared to those in small cities.

However, living and working in developed cities is detrimental in some

aspects. Perhaps the most apparent disadvantage lies in a decreased quality
of life and poorer health condition among people living in these cities. One of
the reasons is that large cities are densely populated, resulting in a great
number of individual transporting vehicles. The gas emission, smell of burned
fuels from motorcycles and cars and traffic noise leads to a severely polluted
living environment in big cities. Besides, employees working in major regions
always have to work very hard in order to complete overwhelming workload.
Many of them also constantly have a fear of losing their jobs, and thus, suffer
from work-related stress. In the long run this may result in mental disorders
and other psychological problems, which in turn will have unfavorable effects
on their health.

To conclude, life in major cities has both positive and negative impacts on
peoples life, which should be taken into account to maintain the quality of life.
