Applicants seeking admission for the Medical Degree program shall fulfill the following
requirements:
Graduating or graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Science or Arts or a Masters or Doctorate Degree
Has completed the following within their Degree or took as additional courses:
o 15 units Biology (Botany, General Zoology, General Biology, Parasitology, Physiology and Vertebrate Comparative
Anatomy)
o 10 units Chemistry (General Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry)
o 5 units Physics (General Physics)
o 9 units Mathematics (Algebra, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus or Statistics)
o 12 units Social Sciences (History, Sociology, Humanities, Philosophy and Political Science)
Taken the National Medical Admission Test (NMAT).

ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
A. ELIGIBILITY
1. BS or AB Degree
- Should have graduated from college/university, or should be graduating from college/university
at the end of the 2nd Semester of the current school year
- Applicants who will complete college/university requirements beyond the second semester of the
current school year may apply for the next round of admissions.
2. Satisfactory performance in the following required courses (course descriptions below)
- General Biology or General Zoology or General Botany (3 units lecture and 1-2 units laboratory)
- Cell and Molecular Biology (3 units lecture)
- Biochemistry (3 units lecture)
- General Physics (4-5 units lecture and laboratory)
3. NMAT score (with a recommended percentile rank of 90 or higher)

Academic Preparations
1. He/She must be a holder of Bachelors Degree conferred upon by a duly recognized education institution
2. He/She must have earned credits in the following areas, and must have satisfied the required minimum
numbers of units in the subject specifically enumerated herein:
Sciences: 35 units
Chemistry: 10 units
Inorganic Chemistry: 5 units
Organic Chemistry/Biochemistry: 5 units
Natural Sciences: 15 units (5 units should at least be Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy or Human
Anatomy and Physiology
Physics: 5 units
Microbiology or Elem. Genetics: 5 units
Mathematics: 6 units
Algebra: 3 units
Elementary Statistics/Biostatistics: 3 units
Language and Communication: 9 units
Social Sciences: 9 units
(Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, History, Anthropology)
Humanities: 3 units
