Montagues and Capulets fighting
on the streets of Verona early
Sunday morning.
VERONA- Early Sunday morning, the
Montagues and the Capulets stunned the
citizens of Verona as their violent fray took
to the streets. None were killed nor injured.
The residents of Verona were left shocked
after another malicious brawl broke out in
the streets. Citizens are left to worry about
what this means for the safety of their town.
According to eye witnesses, servants of the
Capulets, Sampson and Gregory, were

spotted exchanging insults with Abraham, a
servant of the Montague family in order to
get the Montagues to start a fight despite
laws of keeping the peace. Capulet, Lady
Capulet, and Tybalt of the Capulet family
were seen to be involved as well as
Montague, Lady Montague and Benvolio of
the Montague family.
An elderly citizen was heard to utter How
long will I live to perceive the hatred
between these two households? It is known
that the households of the Capulets and the
Montagues, both equal in status and honour,
have been feuding since time began; which
is what is believed to have been the root of
the scuffle as servants from each family
were present.
Although a member of the Montague family
attempted to salvage the peace, the conflict
continued to rage and Prince Escalus had to
intervene. They have thrice disturbd the
quiet of our streets, and made Veronas
ancient citizens cast by their grave
beseeming ornaments, says Escalus.
Resulting from this fight, the Prince has
proclaimed a new law: If ever you disturb
our streets again, your lives shall pay the
forfeit of the peace he stated. The
community of Verona can only hope this
death penalty will put an end to the
detestation between these two families.
