ABSTRACT Cimanuk River downstream is the output channel fiom spillway of Jatigede Reservoir. There is stil flooding in some sections in Cimanuk River downstream. It caused. by of the discharge inflow of some joints tributary Cimanuk river with the main river of the Cimanuk. Also on the Cimanuk River downstream, there is Rentang Dam which has a door capacity Limitation. In this study, initial study in the form of hydrological analysis by counting the rain. design using the Log Pearson Type IIT method, Then tested the suitability of the distribution using the Kolmogorov-Smimov test and Chi Square test. The calculation of flood discharge was conducted by Snyder Unit Hydrograph using HEC-HMS program version 4.0. Furthennore, doing hydraulics analysis to know the existing condition with 25 years period of time to know how big is the impact of flooding by using HEC-RAS program of 4.1.0 version, After knowing the location of internodes which cause the flood impact. itis chosen, a flood restrain planning using retarding basin. Then, reanalyze the capacity of Cimanuk: river challenger after having an effort of the flood restraint using retarding basin by using HEC-RAS program of 4.1.0 version.
