This responds to your open records request, copied below, to Merle King, the Execu6ve Director of the Center for
Elec6on Systems at Kennesaw State University. Should you have any ques6ons about this response, please let me
know.

With respect to your rst request, the CES has no documents responsive to your request.

With respect to your second request, your email correctly iden6es the components and related rmware and
sofware used in Georgia, with the following addi6on: Honeywell barcode scanner MK1690-38-12-ISI, used in
conjunc6on with the ExpressPoll electronic pollbooks.

With respect to your third request, we will make copies of cer6ca6on documenta6on for all components of the
vo6ng system available for inspec6on at a mutually convenient date and 6me. However, these documents contain
certain tes6ng documents from ES&S that may contain trade secrets and be proprietary in nature and may require
permission before they can be released. Please advise whether you wish to view these specic tes6ng documents, in
which case we will advise ES&S of your request.

With respect to requests number four and ve, we have no documents responsive to your request.

1. Please provide a copy of the statement of NASED or other federal standard cer6ca6on that covers the current
Georgia vo6ng system in its present congura6on, similar to the informa6on provided for other systems cer6ed
and documented in NASED link above.
2. Please provide a copy of the list of components and related rmware and sofware versions in use.
3. Please provide a copy of cer6ca6on documenta6on suppor6ng the cer6ca6on claims in the apached slide, for
use of the system in its current congura6on, including the use of TSx machines as intermediary transmission devices
for votes cast on TS machines.
4. Please provide the latest correspondence between your organiza6on and NASED and/or EAC regarding or related
to cer6ca6on of Georgias current vo6ng system.
5. Please provide a copy of the system deni6on document required by 1990 VSS sec6on B.2.3.1 .

If there are any fees for searching or copying these records, please inform me if the cost will exceed $100. However,
Rocky Mountain Founda6on, a non-par6san 501(c) (3) organiza6on, with members who are residents of Georgia,
requests a waiver of all fees because the disclosure of the requested informa6on is in the public interest and will
contribute signicantly to the publics understanding of the opera6ons of electronic vo6ng equipment and repor6ng
of results. This informa6on is not being sought for commercial purposes.

The Georgia Open Records Act requires a response 6me within three business days. If access to the records I am
reques6ng will take longer than three days, please contact me with informa6on about when I might expect copies or
the ability to inspect the requested records.
