Relations of soul

The sun has stopped falling its hot rays, and a boy who sat under the open sky the
whole day, seems somewhat relax but still the signs of these scorching rays of sun
which have directly kissed his face can be seen very clearly. His eyes are now closed,
perhaps he does not want to sleep but the breeze which has just started to blow is just
like a cradle for the asleep boy. His eyes are suddenly opened when light from a
headlight falls on his face, he tries to focus so that he can guess which type of vehicle
is it? After some time, he becomes successful and it seems to be big car stopping in
front of him, a white city car which he likes the most. His eyes are fit to the car, he does
not move his eyes and perhaps he does not want to lose a single second to look
anywhere else other than that car. Suddenly a person, who seems to be very tall,
wearing a beautiful coat comes out of the car. The tall person comes closer to him and
inquires the boy his name, the boy with a very confused voice answers, Ghaa ree boo.
The person repeats, Ghareeboo?
Boy says yes. Now person starts introducing himself, my name is Qasim Ali. I am
owner of a five star hotel. Do not be afraid of me I just want to ask about an address
but I want to know your full name first.
Ghareeboo: Sir, everyone calls me with this name, I have never listened to any one
calling me with my full name since my birth.
Mr. Qasim Ali: Ok, I am going to call you Gharib Nawaz, which means the supporter
and helper of poor people, does it not sound good?
Ghareeboo: Yes, of course sir it is really a nice name for me, thank you.
Mr. Qasim Ali: Why are you sleeping here and where are your parents?
Ghareeboo: Sir, I am a poor orphan boy, I do not have any house to live in, I sleep on
this footpath and almost my whole day passes on this footpath, for me this footpath is
my home.
Mr. Qasim Ali: Oh so sorry but my son remember that those persons who do not have
any one, always find Allah the almighty with them, do you have any relative or any
other guardian who take care of you?
Ghareeboo: No, sir I have never seen person who have ever cared me. When I was at
the age of 2 years my mother died because of a natural disaster, we used to live in huts
beside the flow of river Indus in Thatta, it was a Friday morning when a huge water
crossed from our huts and everything was destroyed, approximately our half of the
village died, among them one was my dear mom, later on when I was about three years,
my dad also died, in a boat accident, since then I used to live on footpath and earn my
one time livelihood by cleaning the vehicles on this road, I have just to pass the days,
I have no any idea but I , sometimes wish that I can study like other children and can
help the other children like me, so that they would not get despair.
Mr. Qasim Ali: I am included in your grief and I appreciate your optimistic thinking,
you are really a bold boy, dont be upset dear, you would find hundreds whom you can
call yours, you would definitely achieve your goals.
Ghareeboo: But how can it happen?
Mr. Qasim Ali: You have to do nothing just come with me, I shall take you to a place
where you love to be.
Ghareeboo: You sir but why? Do you not have expenses? Today the costs are going
higher and you must have a family to support, how can I be a burden on you?
Mr. Qasim Ali: Alhamdullah, I have a family but I have a similar story, twenty years
back I also slept on footpath, I have also no one to call my full name and one day when
I was passing through a road, an old man was crying wih the voice, (chorr, chorr mera
batwa lekar bhaag raha hai, koe rooko use, chorr chorr), somebody help in catching
the thief, he is running with my purse. I ran behind the theif and at last reached at him
and finally the Oldman known as Taalib Hussain got his purse and got money okay, he
asked me my name and full details, when he came to know about my difficulties, he
took me with himself and then he got me enrolled in a school. As I was very fond of
studies, I worked hard and got first position in fifth class, then I got a scholarship in
USA to study further, when I was in tenth standards in USA, I got the news of Mr.
Taalib Hussains death. I came back to Pakistan, I was once again became orphan, my
heart completely broke and for two to three months I was just unaware of myself, but
then one night came which had completely changed my life destination, I found Mr.
Taalib Hussains personal diary, I started to read it, in that diary he had written about
his son who had been died because of cancer, he did not have so much money to get
his sons treatment in any hospital, he saw his son crying in pain, his wife miss Sanim,
who was perhaps a housewife appealed the government for the treatment of their child
but no response came from the government. Mr. Taalib did not lose the hopes, he
worked day and night in an industry and miss Sanim went to her relatives, neighbors
for money or any help that may save her sons life but no one responded and finally all
went in vain, their son died, they both became very upset specially the mother miss
Sanim, she got a heart attack and was taken to hospital, doctors said, she has very
little time, she cannot live for long. Miss Sanim got a promise from her husband Mr.
Taalib that you must help anyone who cannot find any one helping him just saying
this sentence, her pulse stopped, her heart stopped, she followed the path of her son,
perhaps she might have wished to see her son there.
I got the idea, why Mr. Taalib took me with himself and
bore all my expenses, he might be fulfilling his promise which he made with his wife.
On the last page of that diary, I saw the picture, a chain was drawn in which I could
see my name linked with Mr. Taalibs name and there were spaces attached with my
name, and further more spaces were attached to the already present spaces, that
picture was titled as Relations of soul, that was title which gave me courage to be
alive and work hard so that the spaces which were left by Mr. Taalib could be filled and
the tree of relations of soul can grow and it must give some fruits in near future.
The next day, I got admission in a government school in
the tenth class, besides Going to school, I also started working in a small DHABBA
(hotel) in the evening time. I was very sincere with my studies because I had a dream,
an aim to complete. Similarly I did my evening work honestly, my daily income at that
time was 50 rupees at that time from which I spent only 25 and saved 25 rupees, in
this way I saved nearly 10,000 rupees in a little time and I opened my own (DHABBA)
hotel, in this way I started my own small business. The success of this small business
was great, in a very quick time, I extended it and in similar way I opened a beautiful
restaurant, and my business was going at a great pace, I continued to open hotels,
restaurants in different cities and finally a five star hotel. But I felt happy only when I
opened an institution for orphan children which I named Relations of soul house, in
this institution thousands of children are living and studying and they are just like the
branches of a tree which Mr. Taalib had planted, and surely when these children grow
and become able, they would plant more tress and this will make a garden in this
world.
My son lets go, you have also to plant a tree in near future!
