Dancing Granny a treat for young and old

by Kathy Mitchell

What are the best ways to get young

children excited about theater? Bright colors,
high-energy dancing and a simple fun story
with lots of audience interaction seem to turn
the trick with The Dancing Granny. When
this production held its world premiere June

of the audienceappeared totally engaged,

the cast members questions.
The adults who brought them seemed

The production is based on a childrens

to 8 percent, which aligns with DeKalb Countys hotel/motel tax.
