Monuments in England
The various monuments of England that embellish the city have a Baroque, Gothic, classic or
Edwardian style according to the times of its construction. Through them you can learn English
history and you can enjoy a pleasant atmosphere.
Big Ben
Big Ben is the clock tower of London. The clock is part of the Palace of Westminster. The architectural
style of the tower is neogothic. It has a height of 96, 3 meters. The tower has at its tip the largest
four-sided clock in the world.
Tower's bridgeIt
Tower's bridgeIt is also known as Tower Bridge. The bridge crosses the River Thames and is Victorian
neo-Gothic style. Its extension is of 244 meters, 7 meters of width and two towers of 61 meters
Tower of London
The Tower of London is located in the center of the city, on the banks of the River Thames. Its
official name is Her Majesty's Royal Palace and Fortress. The Tower is a set of buildings.
Stonehenge
Stonehenge is a Neolithic monument from the Bronze Age. It consists of a set of stones that form four
concentric circles. It is located near Amesbury, in the county of Wiltshire, approximately 15 kilometers
from Salisbury.
Windsor Castle
It is located in Berkshire, in the United Kingdom. It is a medieval castle whose construction began in
the eleventh century. The castle has an extension of buildings in an area of five hectares.
Buckingham palace
Buckingham Palace is the residence of the English royalty. It is the place where special ceremonies of
the state are held. It has tourist routes and a museum.
London eye
The London Eye is a 135 meter high ferris wheel. They are located in the Lambeht district of London,
close to the offices of the Ministry of Defense of England. It was inaugurated in the year 2000. Its
construction was made with carbon steel material.
London bridge
The London Bridge has a length of 283 meters and a London and Southwark crossing the River Thames.
City Hall of Manchester
The City of Manchester belongs to the Municipality of the city. It is a neogothic style building. Its construction was
completed in 1877. As a whole it has a clock tower of 87 meters high. It is home to offices and lounges for ceremonies.
John Rylands Library is a neo-Gothic style library located in Deansgate, Manchester. He is part of the
University of Manchester.
Heaton Park
It is a park located in Manchester. It has an extension of more than 600 acres. The park has golf
courses, tennis courts, a lake for boating, animal farm, forests, gardens, observatories, museum and
tram system.
