EY 2014-2018 CYAF PRESIDENTS REPORT TO THE 19th NATIONAL COUNCIL MEETING
Teresa Tan Time passed so swiftly, that we seemed not to notice how Ecclesial Year
North Central Luzon Conference (NCLC)
Convenor for North LuzonJurisdiction
(EY) 2015-2016 went by. And now, we, the national officers of CYAF find
ourselves in our third (3rd) year at the helm of leadership. The past EY had been
Convenor for Middle Luzon Jurisdiction
challenging, yet fruitful and meaningful, especially in the local and conference
levels, as we found various ways to concretize the faith and ministry of the
Aprileen Baldemor young adults. Time and busyness, had been, and will always be, constraints in
Representative for South Luzon Jurisdiction
carrying out our functions steadfastly and efficiently, but the Lord is so
Gina C. Providencia constantly gracious in making ways when there seems to be no way,
Central Negros Associate Conference (CNAC)
Convenor for West VisayasJurisdiction particularly in taking our vacation leave from work during long meetings like
this. I am grateful for the dedication and commitment of each and every
Joy Solis member of CYAF in keeping our fellowship strong and relevant to the grassroots
South Western Leyte Conference (SWLC)
Convenor for East Visayas Jurisdiction level.
We are also holding the week-long National CYAF Celebration from September 26 to
October 2, 2016. We will be coming out with a liturgical guide this September for the said
celebration. We encourage all local CYAF to have a simple but joyful and meaningful
celebration.
We are grateful as we acknowledge the subsidy we received from the UCCP National
Office for EY 2015-2016, and also, for tapping our members in facilitating the program planning
in the conference and jurisdictional levels. We continue to pledge our support for all the
programs of the church. Further, we await with hope and eagerness for a Bishop that will be
assigned to guide our journey until the end of the Quadrennium.
The reorganization of MLJA and organization of SLJA CYAF is still a work in progress. I am
hopeful that the planned Assembly of the MLJA CYAF this September would push through and
generate a positive result. With the appointment of Ms. Baldemor as representative of SLJA to
the NCYAF Execom, I am positive that I am seeing a bright light at the end of the tunnel, so to
speak. I continue to appeal for the assistance of our good Bishops from these Jurisdictions to
finally organize the young adults in their areas.
As we embrace the change that has come, we continue to ask the Holy Spirit to guide us
in living out our Faith and doing our Ministry as members of the UCCP Household. I look
forward with hope and joy to a more meaningful Life and Ministry for CYAF in the next two (2)
years as we embody a Spirituality for a Christ- Driven Transformation in these challenging
times!
One with you in undertaking a deeper and more meaningful Faith-journey for CYAF,
