SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING

By Billy Joe Manzano

Insufficient, crowded and hot room turned to a cool, wide and chilly
building.

The first five months of the school year 2016-2017 was exciting and
challenging for the Senior high school students of San Isidro National High School.
Since the building for the senior high has not yet been fully constructed, we dont
have permanent room. We carry our plastic chairs going to a cooler place that will
be comfortable for us to study. However, our situation does not affect our
studies. We easily adapt ourselves and that would not be the hindrance for us
students to achieve our ambitions in life.

Good thing they finally constructed the new building for the senior high. It
has six fully painted wide rooms, three overwhelming and relaxing rooms on the
first floor and the second floor. Each floor has its own comfort rooms. If before
was crowded, now they can sit cool and chilly one meter apart because it is too
wide. It has two sweaty long stairs on its both sides. It has wide and airy terrace
where everyone can enjoy seeing the full area of the campus. Senior high
students before were sometimes heated by the direct sunlight and often got wet
whenever the rain drops resulting to a heavy distraction. Now if it will rain and
excessive heat will strike us again, we will now enjoy having our classes
continuously and unworried because the new building was perfectly established
to shelter us and be comfortable while studying. As of now, painting is still on
going and it has been assumed that were going to transfer at the newly
constructed building on November 14, 2016.

Senior high school building is guaranteed safe and comfortable. COME AND
ENROLL!!!!!
SINHS Teachers undergo INSET

October 24-28 school semestral break of public school students including

SINHS students but teachers grabbed the opportunity to fulfill InService Training
on October 26-28, 2016. The INSET was done in our respective school. They spent
three days for this training to add their knowledge and enhance their skills. It was
joined by 11 teachers and the principal. On the first day, our beloved principal
reminded the teachers on how to make Table of Specification and how to
formulate questions inline to it. He was followed by Sir Sherwin Zapatero. He
tackled about the official parts of a module. The teachers were required to make
at least one module in application of what Sir Sherwin imparted to them. Sir Eddie
Vasquez discussed about Quipper. The InSet was done as usual by formally
following the program order from prayer to closing remarks. All teachers had
their own part of the program and it was all a success.
TEACHERS DAY, ENDED A SUCCESS

By Billy Joe Manzano

Strict! Serious! They turned to a cool, relax, chill and happy. These are the
emotions that teachers possessed into the second part of the program which is
the game.

October 5, 2016 when SSG officers conducted a program for teachers. It was
again a success to Mr. Romelo Santua, the SSG adviser and the SSG officers
together with the class presidents for making teachers day worthwhile and
unforgettable. The teachers enjoyed playing the games that SSG officers
presented. Volunteer students from different classes expressed their gratitudes
through singing, dancing and presenting a poem. The others gave colorful cards.
The program started with the singing of National Anthem that have led by Marlyn
Angeles, SSG Secretary and ended with an informative speech from Mr. Eulalio
Bosque, our beloved school principal. The program venue was the San Isidro
National High School ground itself and started at 8:00 A.M. and ended at 10 A.M.

Valerie said, Its good to have programs like this to relax stressed teachers
and also to enhance students speaking skills.
TUROD

By Jopay Lajon

Turod is a small mountain found at the west part of Barangay Calaoi. It is a

lovely place to relax in.. where you can enjoy the breeze of fresh air, the
beautiful and fantastic view of rice fields and trees, and the birds that are flying so
high. It is like Victoria Park in Bangued where you can see the whole barangay of
Calaoi. During windy season, children love to hang out here and play a kite
because of the strong wind. They enjoy watching their kites flying so high. If you
are a nature-lover you can appreciate the beauty of TUROD

PINSAL FALLS

Wanna be relaxed and be chilled up, find time to visit this beautiful place. It
is found in Pantoc, San isidro,Abra. As you walked reaching your destination, you
will be relaxed by seeing the rice fields. If you reached the place you will be
amazed by the beauty Pinsal Falls possesses. You can find different shapes and
sizes of rocks. You can enjoy also the breeze of fresh air. Tall trees surrounded the
falls. You can swim to explore the cave.
THE PIONEER OF SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

Will your virgin mind reject San Isidro National High School Senior students
bad and ruining jokes? Or you will fall in love with their cute and blooming faces?

The pioneer of Ex-president Benigno Aquinos K to 12 program were the

Grade 11 students. Aquinos legacy is now getting near because his expereimental
students are now in the middle of success.

There are 51 lucky students enrolled in San Isidro National high School, 8
returnees, 1 transferred in and 42 pioneers. Sad to say that in the middle of the
1st semester, 6 of them dropped out.

They have different styles and personalities. Some are lost in the flow of
time but most are keep on refraining. They have only one dream, one interest,
one goal-to graduate and to help their parents. They arent the brightest but they
arent the poorest one. They can follow instruction when its reiterated. They are
helpful, they always help anyone who seeks and needs help. Time will never pass
without their bondings. They always look for a thing, a joke or a game to trip for.
They sing, they dance and they act out anything that comes into their mind. Their
smiley and unique faces are irrefusable to stare with but beware to fool them
because some only have a smooth heart. Theyre truly equipped with technology.
They always have their smart phones in their pockets to document, capture
special moments and post tag or share them to their facebook friends.

They are close with one another because they are all friendly. Actually they
created a group chat named Grade 10 completers where everyone from the
Grade 11 class together with their teachers are free to ask and chat whatever
they want. They have also a brother-leader, a 26 year old guy named Roger Calina
a.k.a. Kuya Rodge. He leads and guides everyone in good times.

Most of them are patient especially to those who are from far barangays.
They walk a maximum of one hour every morning and after classes. But for them,
its serves as a challenge.
Senior students are a perfect model of everyone. Be like them. Follow them
and be a senior high school student!!!!!!

DRUGS

By: Marlyn Angeles

Hundreds of people have died since the new president Rodrigo Roa
Duterte, announced a crackdown on crime. He likes it that way. The rest of the
world should not be intimidated.

Illegal drugs use is on the rise, and this has worrying implications for the
future. There is an urgent need to educate young people as to the dangers of drug
use. There is also a great need to help those who are already addicted to escape
their misery.

One of the most abused drugs in the Phillipines is a local type of

metamphetamine mixed with caffeine known as shabu. This is powerfully
addictive drug that can cause people to have intense hallucinations and become
extremely paranoid. Some users of this drugs have even jump off high rise
buildings because they believe that they could fly. All drugs like metamphetamine
cause feeling like full of energy.

Drugs abuse leads to many problems like; The inidividuals behavior will
change. They may become physically violent or engage in other types of bad
behaviors, and those who abuse these drugs can struggle to keep down a job.
They may become unemployed. Young people who use these substances will
unable to perform well in school or college. This means that they will be limiting
their future opportunities.

Finally there are a number of treatment options available to people in the

Philippines who need help. One of them is Narcotis anonymous, which is a twelve
step program that supports the individual to escape their addictions.

So stop using Drugs now for your better future!

What are the causes of misbehavior in the classroom?

By: John Cherubin Agcaoili

Misbehavior causes disturbances in the classroom and makes in difficult

for students to enjoy the educational process.

Misbehavior is a form of communication. Its how we send messages to

others that something is not ok. All of us, adults and even youth tend to
misbehave whenever we find ourselves in circumstances that threaten our well-
being. When we feel vulnerable, misunderstood, humiliated, or betrayed, were
inclined to act out. Some opinions say that families do it at the dinner table,
educators do it in faculty meetings and most students like me, do it in the
classrooms. We shouldnt feel bad about this, however, because its normal and
often healthy to react against the circumstances that produce negative emotions.
Pretty sure, sometimes we fail to make our best decisions in such situations, but
our misbehavior is rarely without a cause.

Student misbehavior, such as disruptive talking, chronic avoidance of work,

clowning, interfering with teaching activities, harassing classmates, verbal insult,
rudeness to teachers, defiance and hostility, ranging from infrequent to frequent,
mild to severe, are a thorny issue everyday inside the classroom. Teachers usually
reported these disturbing behaviors in the classroom that are intolerable, stress-
provoking and they had to spend a great deal of time and energy to manage the
class. Obviously, student misbehaviors retard
