First Home Saturday

First Home Saturday, presented

Builders was held on Saturday
June 10 at Bassett Place. The
vendors at the event showcased
their businesses to hundreds of
visitors who came to see how to
buy a home, refinance a home, or
to win a chance for $25,000. The
throngs of people were entertained
by some of the vendors including
getting a face paint done or taking
a fantasy photo at the photo
booths. In addition to those items
the display area was decorated
with dozens of balloons that were
handed out to kids.
Ted Escobedo, who originally
started the event in 2005,
organized this years fair and was
happy with the turnout. I think we
hit the sweet spot by bringing the
event to Bassett Place, the mall
where our target market uses, he
told the Outlook. All of our visitors
had a chance to win a big prize
and to visit with the experts, he
continued.
What was evidenced at the event
was that business was being done
as mortgage companies and
financial institutions offered their
services. Were really happy to
have partnered in this, great
turnout, really good event for us,
said Angelique Roman of Sierra
