HISTORY
For the Universal Exhibition of 1889 four majestic wooden pavilions had been built
to hold the platform on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower. However in 1997 they were
demolished to make a complete renovation of the first floor of the tower. This is
how the coffee-restaurant Altitude 95 arises (in honor of its location at 95 meters
above sea level) .After a complete overhaul in late 2008, the restaurant reopens its
doors to the public under the name of 58 TOUR EIFFEL and he has been serving
customers since.

DESCRIPTION
To access the 58 Tour Eiffel restaurant people should have made a reservation at
the kiosk located between the pillars north and east of the tower, and taking a lift
ticket to the first floor of the Eiffel Tower.
During the day the customer is guided by a stewardess to the table, a few
moments after taking the order and the food is delivered in a picnic style basket. At
night the place is transformed with fine dining in a romantic atmosphere.

THE KITCHEN

The chef in charge is Alain Soulard who was


hired first as a culinary advisor but because of
their great work became chief executive since the
restoration of the restaurant.
