Govindrao Wanjari College of Engineering & Technology is one among those. The seed of Amar
Sewa Mandal was planted in 1983 by the revolutionary politician, socialist and educationist Late
Kamla Nehru Mahavidyalaya, Nagpur.

The first venture of Amar Sewa Mandal, Kamla Nehru Mahavidyala. was inaugurated by Late
Shri Rajiv Gandhi on 12th September 1984. Since then the college has blossomed and bloomed
into a full grown tree, producing rich fruits of knowledge and learning. Govindrao Wanjari College of Law, Nagpur.
These painstaking efforts were acknowledged by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation
Council) peer team. NAAC appreciated our attempts for the development in the field of
education and awarded 'A' grade with 86.60% marks.

The candidate should have passed HSC (Std.XII)
examination of Maharashtra State Board of
Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its

minimum 50% marks i.e. 150 marks out of 300 marks

MILAP
A fresher's day programme is organized under
student's forum. This event provides an opportunity

UTSAV is an annual social gathering of GWCET. The

Interaction Cell
The Industry Institute Interaction Cell is established
so that academia and industry should engage in joint
research to improve innovation.In order to solve the
issue of employability of graduate, an exposure to
industry in the form of Industrial Training is provided
to students during their tenure though this Cell.

All the Board of Studies (BoS) and Focus Groups
for curriculum design have representation of

II. Expert Lectures
IIP Cell has arranged Guest lectures for the
complete cross-section of students. More than
300 Guest Lectures have been arranged during
last five years which includes industry experts,
renowned consultants and top academicians.
III. Workshops/Seminars
Apart from the regular industry - interface
activities special workshops have been arranged
for students to keep pace with new technologies
required in Industry like ERP, Mobile Programming
etc. Around 3500 Man-hours have been invested
for these activities.
IV. Industry Visits
Regular Industry visits have been organized within
and outside the state. Around 400 industry visits
have been arranged to various industries during
2008-2017.
NSS
NSS Unit works for the social service, social
development of the person in society. To change the
attitude of the people in society for making unity, to
make Swachha Bharat every one has to work by unity in
our community. To develop the socialism in every
person in community. This is known as Samaj Jagruti
who makes by NSS only. This NSS makes to think people
himself & others views and develop the society by
understanding each one of the community. In our

Women Cell
The College has established a Women Cell "Tejaswini" in
the college campus for the women faculty, sta and girl
students, to enhance understanding of issues related to
women and to make the college campus a safe place for
them. With an aim of creating awareness of their rights
and duties the cell organizes Interaction Session for
girls students, Navratri colour celebration,
Makarsankranti Celebration. It also provides a platform
for women to share their experiences and views
regarding their status in the society and to suggest ways
to improve and empower themselves. Aiming at
intellectual and social upliftment of the female
students, the women cell "Tejaswini" stands for
facilitating womens empowerment through guest
lectures, seminars, awareness programmes like skill
training programmes, entrepreneur training and other

transfer energy in various forms. Mechanical Engineers are required in mech. industries such as Production,

The department is established in the year 2009-10. The department has highly qualified staff with industrial
