Part II: Reflection

CANDIDATE REFLECTIONS:
(Minimum of 3-4 sentences per question)

1. Briefly describe the field experience. What did you learn about technology facilitation and leadership from
completing this field experience?

At first, I was very concerned about how I would respond to my peers and give them constructive criticism. I
wondered how I would tell someone they need to correct material they have completed because I was new to this
myself. With the help of the coaching checklist, I felt like I could be a competent and effective coach while getting my
point across. It gave me things to think about and look for. The engaged learning project really opened my eyes to
how effective I can be as a teacher and coach in the classroom and with my peers while trying to incorporate
technology.

2. How did this learning relate to the knowledge (what must you know), skills (what must you be able to do) and
dispositions (attitudes, beliefs, enthusiasm) required of a technology facilitator or technology leader? (Refer to
the standards you selected in Part I. Use the language of the PSC standards in your answer and reflect on all
3knowledge, skills, and dispositions.)

The students must be able to perform research on a given subject according to the Georgia Performance Standards. ,
Math and Science will also be involved in the implementation of this project. The students must know, understand and
master these standards.

The students must be able to use technology to research facts on different countries waste system, use video, webcams
or FaceTime to conduct an interview with and environmentalist from other countries. Then they will create either a
video or presentation to pursue people in different countries to recycle. The environmentalist will use their project for
pursuing the community to recycle their waste.

With the hook I have developed, the students will absolutely love this project. My students will go on a virtual field
trip. They will be exploring online, what a recycling center looks like on the inside. We will also be having visitors
from our local republic service department. They will be bringing safety glasses, hard hats and vests for the students
to keep. This will make the project very meaningful and the students will be highly interested.

3. Describe how this field experience impacted school improvement, faculty development or student learning at
your school. How can the impact be assessed?

My engaged learning project will help make learning how to research and learning about recycling very interesting,
meaningful and authentic to the students. This is a Georgia Performance Standard that needs to be mastered and
exceeded in ELA
