Our Mission
Caring, creativity and commitment. These are the 3 Cs that
CommunicAID lives by in our mission to provide the best
care possible to help the homeless escape poverty. We are
dedicated to helping the homeless population in our city find
food, shelter and life-long support. Our vision focuses on the
our team members, affiliates and those we serve. We value the
long-term relationships we have created and strive to uphold our
reputation as caring, creative and committed.

What we do
Between our two locations, CommunicAID serves over 50,000
citizens across the Washington, D.C. area. We help the homeless
and underprivileged overcome poverty through our services.
From the homeless to our 700+ volunteers, we aim to support
and help all members of the Washington, D.C. community.

Who we help
We provide support. At our facilities, we have year-round day
shelters, night shelters, food pantries and tutoring and literacy
programs. Both of our facilities are open to residents of the area.

How you can help


Last year through grants provided by the Washington, D.C.
legislature, CommunicAID transformed an abandoned
Contact Us elementary school into a new facility. Since its opening, the
Mercer Street location has served over 23,000 members of
Lizzy Fletcher the community. With proper funding, CommunicAID hopes to
Public Relations expand its services even more in the Washington, D.C. area.
