In support with the thrust of the Department of Education in ensuring that the society produces scientifically,
technologically and environmentally literate individuals with 21st century skills, the STEM Education Training Hub
will conduct Training-Workshops for teachers focusing on science, technology, engineering and mathematics
education and teaching pedagogy. In consultation with the science, mathematics, research and education specialists
from different universities and government institutions, we have identified the both content and competence gap in
science, research and mathematics teaching and learning.

We would like to invite you and your teachers to our training events. The programs we provide aim to produce
science, mathematics and research teachers that are equipped with competent skills in teaching critical science and
math content and research skills using appropriate pedagogy that will inspire learners to embrace scientific literacy.

brain-based learning will be used in facilitating the sessions. It will be ensured that learning is interdisciplinary, inquiry-
driven, contextual, and problem-based. The training design and delivery will include active-oriented learning
techniques using actual laboratory equipment and devices.
