Reflection

I chose to create a profile for Susan B. Anthony, the womens rights activist. Her profile
looks similar to what a modern feminists Facebook page would look like, with her liked
activist groups, and posts related to the movements shes involved in. I would definitely friend
Susan B. Anthony as I am a great fan of hers, and she would post relevant feminist posts.
Facebook would have been a great tool for Susan B. Anthony to utilize in her fight for womens
suffrage. June-Friesen, Katy. She could have posted about any upcoming protests or conferences
and spread her message over greater distances. I believe that the 19th amendment could have
been passed sooner if social media like Facebook had been available because movements grow
faster online. With the movement being more readily available and widespread, this brings a
large amount of attention, both positive and negative. Her Facebook page could have received a
lot of hate posts from anti-feminists who were against her movement. However, there still
definitely would be a large amount of positive attention on her page from supporters. There are
currently several Facebook pages made in Susan B. Anthonys honor that have posts about her
life, her work and current news involving her. This would require great research to see what she
would post if she was alive, and also monitor current events. While Susan B. Anthony is a
historical figure, her life had a great impact on the way the world is today and is still very
relevant.
