Medved begins his article by expressing that although all the people around the world havent
met Americans, they do know about them from the Hollywood movies and how such movies

The media has immense power and control and this is viewed in the false portrayal of the
American lifestyle. Hollywood finds the real America common and non-profitable and thus

conquer. This is possible only by the exclusion of reality and by transforming age old gripping
situations for example, divorce and adultery with an over the top portrayal. These deceptions
will only succeed in tarnishing Americas image as those abroad are forced to create false
notions about America disregarding the fact that America is in actuality a country like any other.
Medved, within his article, illustrates reasons as to why foreigners are enticed by what
