Relationship between Permissive Attitudetoward Dating Behaviors in
PurnamaVocational School South Jakarta in 2015
Adolescence is an essential period considering it has great impact for shaping up
future life as an adult. Current dating behaviors in adolescents had changed toward indecent behaviors such as sexual intercourse, which is inappropriate for their age. This research was aimed to determine the relationship between permissive attitude toward dating behavior in Purnama Vocational School in South Jakarta in 2015. The design used in this research was cross-sectional, 110 students in total samples used were students in X and XI levels with age between 15-17 years old, and Chi-square method was used for research analysis, the result indicated that 28,2 % students of Purnama Vocational School had dating relationship behaviors at risk, result showed that age of first dating, in concurrent with permissive attitude, had meaningful relationship with dating behaviors. Students who had their first dating in age less than 14 years old had chance of 2,4 times more dating behaviors at risk compared to students who had their first dating in age greater than or equal to 14 years old. Furthermore students with permissive attitude had chance of 4,8 times more dating behaviors at risk compared to students with non-permissive attitude toward dating behavior.
