o Responsible mainly for front-end development of the portal. Also responsible for writing query generation scripts for

ACADEMIC PROJECTS
• As part of course work at Georgia Tech:
o When ‘n’ Where Reminders: Created a handy Android application which provides reminders for saved events and
augments it with Driving Directions from current location to destination using Google Maps. Yelp API is used to provide
recommendations for specific search tags of a certain business. Tools: Android SDK, Google Maps API, Yelp API
o Event Profiler: To provide a statistical assessment of how the occurrence of an event impacts returns on a stock.

o Multithreaded HTTP server and proxy: Developed as a part of the Graduate Introduction to Operating Systems
programming assignments. Also, built RPC server and client to handle computationally intensive tasks. Language: C
• Phurnish (1st Runner up in the Convergence 2010 Competition): Part of team responsible for development of a
mobile application that facilitates purchase of furniture and aids interior design by providing the customers a way to
visualize the objects in their current home environment. The application allows taking pictures, creating models of rooms,
saving the model, loading an already existing model, loading the 3d model of furniture and barcode scanning. Tools:
Android SDK, OpenGL
• Multithreaded file server and client: A file search and download application with multithreaded servers and GUIs for
client and server operations. Developed using Java Networking, FTP and MySQL.
• Web based image editing tool: An online application which allows users to upload, resize, crop, apply effects and save
images to disk. Implemented using PHP and XHTML.
• Web design/development: Online portal for college symposium, site design for a memorial foundation.

o Performed clustering of colors for a pair of input images using k-means algorithm followed by spatial analysis to
determine whether the color belongs to the top or the bottom clothing item.
o Developed rule-based inference system in MATLAB to determine whether there is a dressing failure
