AIMS OF THE LESSON:

MAIN AIMS: *facilitating vocabulary acquisition , recycling and consolidating


vocabulary through Comics;
* assuring communication directly in the target language, without
going through the translation process, but rather through enabling the Ss think in
the target language as they speak, by assessing meaning to the structures in the
spoken language
OBJECTIVES ~COGNITIVE OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the lesson the students will be able to:
*use authentic vocabulary;
* develop speaking competences ;
*revise and reinforce grammar Zero Conditional
*develop writing ,speaking ,reading skills
~AFFECTIVE OBJECTIVES:
*creating a warm atmosphere during classes
*engaging the whole class in activities with enthusiasm
* motivating SS in order to persevere

,some of them have difficulties in expressing themselves in English

1 WARM UP:
AIMS:*to warm SS up and to create the working atmosphere
Procedure: Greeting moment, introducing the guest ,checking attendance
and homework ,teacher announces the lessons objectives ,dialogue

2 INTRODUCING THE NEW THEME:


AIMS:*to introduce the new topic
*to learn new vocabulary
Procedure:* Game :Treasure Hunt to find the theme of the lesson -2 min.-
observe and discuss the differences between comic and comics ;
*working sheets are handed out by the teacher- SS must work in pairs ;
*SS are asked to complete the speech bubbles from the comic strips with the
appropriate dialogues;
* comparing results
Interaction : pairwork ,T-SS,SS-T the teacher monitors and elicits feed back;
teacher s roles: organizer, prompter, resource, participant ,tutor;

3 READING AND GRAMMAR: reinforcing comparision
AIMS:-*to revise and reinforce grammar
Procedure: *SS are asked to read a text with information about the first
Garfield comics and to make comparision of given adjectives.
Interaction : pairwork , SS-T,T-SS the teacher checks understanding of
new lexis, monitors and gives feed-back

4 FEEDBACK AND HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT:
