Director of QA (Quality Assurance)

Responsibilities:

* Developing test strategies and plans; executing those strategies and plans
according to the schedules agreed with the product development program teams; and
publishing test reports and results.

* Improve the productivity and quality of the QA team's output, using best known
methods from the software industry, with a heavy focus on test automation.

*Review and coordinate all product development programs' Unified Quality Strategies
for conformance with the vision. Measure the results.

* Own the Product Life Cycle Process, and upgrade it to become more agile and more
solution-oriented.

* Develop a set of metrics that measure engineering productivity.

Provide the strategic and tactical vision to guide quality

assurance and application development teams to best in class development and
quality processes, practices, metrics and technologies.

Provide the leadership to guide and grow a talented

team of engineers who use the latest tools, technologies and processes to
deliver reliable, stable products.

Directly manage multiple Development and QA Managers

and their teams with responsibility for coaching, mentoring and providing
performance feedback.

Envision and execute test strategies across multiple

platforms within an agile development process.

Manage the Development and QA effort for multiple

projects and releases, providing estimates, project plans and resource plans in
support of the product roadmap.

Lead all testing practices with a focus on driving automation

and test driven development to continuously improve efficiencies.

Ensure operational excellence capabilities (testability, usability, scalability,

availability, resilience, security, etc..) are built into the products

Deliver high-quality coding solutions, including front-end, back-end, and

integrated QA

Ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly and understands how to drive a

high-level of focus and excellence
Ensure that the solutions are delivered on time, with quality and meeting
requirements

Ability to work on requirements and solutions in an agile manner, with product

management and customers

Keep senior management informed of progress and any obstacles impeding the
successful implementation of projects and other departmental activities thru status
reports, presentations, etc.

Handle routine daily activities such as logistics, coordination, coaching,

mentoring, recruiting, planning, delivery, quality, customer/vendor relationships,
performance metrics, operations, efficiency and other services
