1 New Add-On Modules
SHAPE-THIN 8

The stand-alone program SHAPE-THIN determines

section properties of any thin-walled cross-section
and performs the stress analysis.
New features include:
New user interface adapted to RFEM/RSTAB with
project navigator "Display", "Views" and "Results"
New material and cross-section libraries
Determination of weld stresses in fillet welds
New element types such as arc by three nodes,
New user interface of SHAPE-THIN 8
circle by three nodes, ellipse, parabola, etc.
Generation and calculation of load combinations
New guide objects: Guidelines, background layers,
user-defined coordinate systems, dimensions such
as inclination, angle, radial, arc length dimension,
object snap options such as tangent, center point
Printout report in a similar way as in RFEM/RSTAB
with mass print
Common project manager with RFEM/RSTAB
New program languages

RF-STEEL Plasticity
RF-/STEEL Plasticity is an extension of the RF-/STEEL
EC3 add-on module.
With this program, you can perform plastic design of
cross-sections according to the Partial Internal Forces
Method (PIF method) and the Simplex Method.
Features include:
Design of cross-sections for tension, compression,
bending, torsion, shear, and combined internal
forces
Plastic design of members according to the
second-order analysis with 7 degrees of freedom, Steel design in RFEM without (left) and with (right) RF-STEEL Plasticity
including warping torsion (requires module exten-
sion RF-/STEEL Warping Torsion)

RF-/ALUMINUM ADM
RF-/ALUMINUM ADM performs the ultimate and the
serviceability limit state designs of members
according to the American standard ADM 2010.
Features include:
Design of members and sets of members for
tension, compression, bending, shear, torsion, and
combined internal forces
Stability analysis for flexural buckling, torsional
buckling, and lateral torsional buckling Design results of RF-/ALUMINUM ADM

1 New Add-On Modules
RF-PUNCH Pro

The RF-PUNCH Pro add-on module performs the

design of punching shear resistance for singularly or
linearly supported surfaces.
Features include:
Punching shear design on columns, wall ends, and
wall corners
Optional arrangement of an enlarged column head
Automatic recognition of punching node area from
the RFEM model
Automatic consideration of all slab openings defined
on the RFEM model
Punching shear reinforcement on wall ends and columns
