Provide technical guidance to the WASH team to ensure OFDA WASH project targets are
met within the required timelines
Lead on WASH assessment in newly liberated areas to identify opportunities to expand
IMC WASH program into these areas and work with Emergency Program Coordinator to
develop Concept notes/ proposal for OFDA and other potential donors to address needs
in the new liberated areas

field :
Training in management and maintenance of Hydraulic Structures to the local water
committees;
Health Promotion and fight against waterborne diseases, cholera in IDP sites and host

Evaluations of water, sanitation and hygiene in IDPs sites, return areas, and cholera
endemic areas in order to assess needs and ensure an appropriate early response.
Organization meetings and community mobilization for their development and local
participation.

From 1 January 2008 to December 2008: Wash Manager / Sudan/ International Fund for
agricultural and Development/Fund UNICEF, EU, USAID
Organization, planning, coordination of construction of gravity water system in the city
Development of roads and sanitation in desert areas;
Installation of pipes and management of the distribution network ;
Educate the communities on the objective and the stages of the CLTS process, facilitate
communication with the population (master the local language, is sensitive to cultural
differences, overcome mutual misunderstandings.
Training of contractors, engineers, supervisors and masons on the application of
sealants and training of management committees of local projects;

Supervising Projects: including in house, schools, water, publics latrines and external
and internal contractors.
Attending meetings and competently communicate with clients, contractors and major
asset owners and stakeholders.
Develop and delivery of technical training for partners.

Support the organization of awareness sessions (IEC) organized as a group discussion at
the community level through community relays.
Support community relays for the mounting of plays within the IEC activities good
practices related to water, hygiene and sanitation;
Participation and facilitation of the CAP. Support and guarantee the technical quality of
the formations of the relays and the level of the community.
Monitoring and Evaluation for engineering project and control quality
Develop construction plans and design in participation with project stakeholders.
