General

Tech Tool is an application or platform for the aftermarket tools, developed in order to make the work in
the workshops easier and more efficient. It contains sub-applications that you can use, for example, to
diagnose and program a vehicle/machine. What sub-applications you can access depend on what needs
you have. Accordingly, Tech Tool is adjustable to provide every user with exactly what they need.
Tech Tool provides single sign-on and when a vehicle/machine is selected in Tech Tool, all sub-
applications have access to the selected vehicle/machine data.

You can choose to log in online or offline, that is, connect to central systems or not. The online option
requires either a static password or a password generated from a digipass. The offline option does not
require any password. However, the computer must have been logged in online, at least once, in order for
any user to log in offline.
You have to connect to central systems on a regular basis. If you have not been connected to central
systems within a certain time you will be timed out. The next time you log in you will be requested to

3. Choose which updates you want to download by selecting the checkbox in front of them (2). If you want to
download all available updates select the checkbox Select all (3).

be installed in a certain order.

Note: If the Install updates automatically checkbox (4) is selected, installation of updates will start as
soon as the download is finished.
4. Click Download (4) to start the download of the selected files.

5. The downloading process is shown in the window (5).

while. Clicking the Cancel (9) button implies that no installation will take place and that the downloaded files are
removed.

can also choose the number of days between automatic searches for updates (2). If you want all available
updates to be selected for download by default, select this checkbox (3).
