 RESUME
of the thesis of Atahodzhaev Azimhuja Muzafarovich on the theme
The Turk-Sogdian relations in socio-economic and ethno-cultural processes
of the early Middle Ages for Docrors degree of historical science on the
specialization 07.00.01. History of Uzbekistan

Key words: Great Silk raod, Sogd, sogdian, Turks, Kaganates, Ustrushana,
Chach, Ferghana, Caghanian, Eastern Turkestan, China, Iran, the symbiosis, the
administrative board, ihshid, buhorhudot, ihrid, tudun, ethno-cultural
communication, Turkic-Sogdian Union, the Arab conquest, ethnic processes.
Subject of research: to investigate the peculiarity of the evolution of
political, socio-economic and ethno-cultural processes that occurred in Central
Asia in the first half of the V-VIII centuries on the Turk-Sogdian relations.
Purpose of work: the purpose of this work is include the comprehensive
study the role of Sogd confederation and Turkic Kaghanates in Central Asia that
played an important role in the history of Uzbek population and its statehood in
early medieval centuries, its integration and civilization values in the Turk-Sogdian
relations, the process of formation and development of the turk-sogdian symbiosis
in the region, investigate the peculiarity in their historical development.
Methods of research: modern principles of historical knowledge
objectivity, historical and modernity concepts, comparative-historical,
chronological-problematic and retrospective methods.
Results obtained and their novelty: this work is a first attempt to study the
historical development of the history of Uzbek population and its statehood in the
early medieval centuries through modern conceptual and methodological views,
The civilization significance and historical evolution of political, socio-cultural and
ethno-cultural processes in the region are analyzed a comprehensive way on the
example of the Turkic-Sogdian relations.
Practical value: results of the study will complete to the political, socio-
economic, ethnic and cultural aspects of the history of Central Asia in the early
medieval period that studied not full till present. The results of the thesis can be
used in the study and to promote the historical, cultural and spiritual heritage of
our population, in solving the ethnic problems by proof with the relationship of
Uzbek nationality with other nations in the region.
Degree of embed and economic effictivity: one monograph, 24 articles in
the scientific journals and editor books, also 33 materials and 15 abstracts in
Republic and International conferences, 2 articles in the Ziyonet internet-portal
Field of application: the results of the study can be used in special and
general courses for higher education institutions, training manuals and textbooks,
covering the periods determine a region's history.
