A) Yes/No questions
Hemos visto que para formar el interrogativo con el verbo TO BE solo necesitamos invertir el verbo y sujeto.
YOU ARE a student cambia a ARE YOU a student? en interrogative o pregunta.
AM I a teacher? Yes, youre a teacher. No, youre not a teacher Yes, you are. No, you arent.
ARE YOU a student? Yes, Im a student. No, Im not a student. Yes, I am. No, Im not.
IS HE from Cajamarca? Yes, he is from Cajamarca. No, hes not from Cajamarca. Yes, he is. No, he isnt.
IS SHE in class? Yes, She is in class. No, she isnt in class. Yes, she is. No, she isnt.
IS IT your bag? Yes, it is my bag. No, it isnt my bag. Yes, it is. No, it isnt.
ARE WE from Cusco? Yes, you are from Cusco. No, you arent from Cusco. Yes, you are. No, you arent.
ARE YOU students? Yes, we are students. No, we arent students Yes, we are. No, we arent.
ARE THEY absent? Yes, they are absent. No, theyre not absent. Yes, they are. No, they arent.
B) Information questions
WHO Quin? (para identificar a la persona). WHO is your favorite singer? Its Juan Gabriel.
WHAT Qu? (para identificar un objeto). WHAT is your name? My name is Alice.
WHERE Dnde? (para identificar lugar). WHERE are you from? Im from Cajamarca.
clasificarlo. Lea los siguientes ejemplos:
A
AN
A STUDENT (un estudiante)
AN ANIMAL (un animal)
A RULER (una regla) AN ERASER (un borrador)
Pregunta:
pertenencia.
SUBJECT POSSESSIVE
POSSESSIVE OF NOUNS
PRONOUNS ADJECTIVES
I MY
YOU YOUR
HE HIS JORGES (de Jorge, su de l)
SHE HER CARMENS (de Carmen, su de ella)
IT ITS THE CATS (del gato)
WE OUR
YOU YOUR
THEY THEIR MY PARENTS (de mis padres)
Si el que posee es Jorge o He, entonces el possessive a usarse es HIS. Ejemplos: Jorges wife
rutinarias. Ejemplos: I like pop music. (Me gusta la msica pop.) I dont like jazz. (No me gusta el jazz).
I get up at 6:00 a.m. every day. I dont get up at 6:00
on weekends.
AFFIRMATIVE NEGATIVE
I I
You You
do not
We drink water. We
(dont)
You You
drink water.
They They
He He
does not
She drinks water. She
(doesnt)
It It
Este se transforma en DO NOT + VERB (para I, YOU, WE, THEY) y DOES NOT
+ VERB (para HE, SHE, IT).
persona singular (HE SHE IT) en el SIMPLE PRESENT: DOES.
3. S o ES
Ejemplo:
Fly Flies (volar)

SHORT INFORMATION
YES / NO QUESTIONS LONG ANSWERS
ANSWERS QUESTIONS
